Austin at the bar is AWESOME! And the food is great. From calamari to steak this outfit is terrific. Reliable, fresh and delicious. Another HUGE benefit of life in Big Canoe.

The food was okay and not a lot of variety. The staff was slow and often forgot to serve requested beverages. Steak that was ordered rare came back well done. The bar staff were friendly. We came in the first day of our trip and the restaurant had just closed. Paul and Christina did find a spinach dip for us and provided a lot of local info.

We weren't planning on eating here, but poor planning on our part nixed our dinner reservation and we were starving and staying on site. We got takeout twice, both times were fine. The burger is house ground, quite good, and cooked appropriately. I got mashed potatoes with it and they were DIVINE. The airplane chicken was fine, per better half, though underseasoned. It came with a delish potato souffle, however. Next round I got a grilled chicken sandwich that was bordering on meh--dry chicken, scarce pesto, etc. The fries were a bit underwhelming, as well. Shrimp and grits, however, were deemed "awesome." We didn't dine in so I can't comment on that, but it fit the bill for us.

Joanna was our server and she was fantastic. We ordered the daily special which was the flatbread. We mentioned a dietary concern and she took note. It was served perfectly to our specifications. We chatted with her before we left and she was so personable, filled with enthusiasm and smiles!

The rules keep changing! Need a reservation for main dining area but told you can just walk in and sit in pub area. However when you arrive there are reserved signs on all tables. Can’t order food until 5pm, but a couple was served food at 4pm! I inquired and manager said oh no it’s still 5pm until you can order! Confused! Then menus appear and all of sudden we can order….but then no one comes to take our order! So cofiaed! All I can say is the drinks are great!

Food is way below average. You can get better food at Longhorn or Popeyes for less than half the price. The clubhouse runs out of food constantly. Your salad is probably going to come out after your meal if you even get your meal. This place is quite possibly the worst run restaurant in the state of Georgia.

The food has suffered since the chef left (June-ish) and went to Bent tree. Super sweet sauces and low quality meats - very questionable cuts. Service and management are running well except the kitchen. We were shocked to find all these new improvements and dropping the menu - Food must be #1 priority over any other improvements.
It was our first, and last, trip to Big Canoe especially The Clubhouse at Lake Sconti restaurant. We had dinner reservations the Saturday before July 4th.One would think for a busy holiday and the only restaurant on the premises, everything would be squared away and top notch. It wasn’t: there were very few servers who were run ragged trying to take care of the tables they had; empty tables they couldn’t sit due to lack of staff; the manager on duty “danced around” seeming not to have a care in the world, and never visited one table that we saw; our $38 filet was well over cooked and sides very mediocre as it seemed all of the plates were sitting under a heat lamp while we were waiting and waiting for our food. After our overwhelmed server took my steak back because I couldn’t eat the overcooked piece of meat, he (most gratefully) got the manager to take it off of our bill yet she never made her way over to our table even though she stayed in full view most of our dining time. Not to mention, the tables around us that were able to be seated, we’re also visibly frustrated at the lack of service or attention to the wait. Very sad experience for us to say the least. Beware.

Do not frequent this establishment unless you want to view a cockroach walking across the bar at 4 o’clock in the afternoon! ? We informed and showed the bartender our now deceased visitor, who’s response was to nonchalantly remove it with a napkin and pretty much ignore our shock and disgust…but did ask if we would like another drink. Seriously, no thank you we’ll take our check. Goes without saying, we will NEVER be back!! On a side note, after picking up the cockroach with a napkin the bartender did not sanitize the area…utterly disgusting!
Great atmosphere and service! Food was
