Found this place randomly on Google. I wasn't far so decided to try them. While reading the menu the gentleman behind the counter asked had I ever been there before and I said no. He told me to have a seat and he'd bring me some samples. My kind of party lol. He brought me a rib side of sauce, baked beans and Mac. Everything was good but that meat and beans had me. I ordered the rib combo with beans. The guy behind the counter is Dexter. Not sure if he's the owner or not but super friendly. My meal was $19. I'll definitely be back to try other items, when in the area. Also my 8 year took half my food and didn't waste a bite, so yeah its good.

Fantastic experience! I catered food for a Halloween party, and it was perfect. Everything was excellent (pulled port, smoked chicken, Brunswick stew, Mac and Cheese, etc...)Food was ready when they said it would be, good price for the quality and the excellence of the food. The food was incredible, easily the best BBQ sauce, ribs, and shrimp I've ever had in my life. The service is even better, I have never been to a place where the service was just as good as the food. DO NOT HESITATE!!!!! This is *the* spot in ATL!

My wife and I have lived all over the Deep South, including Georgia, and this was by far the best BBQ we have ever had. And we are foodies…Yummmmyyyyyy! From the outside you would never guess the treasures that lie within. And a truly gracious chef. Small and spartan, eating there is like going to a friends house. Where do you find that these days, where many things seem to be owned by someone who has nothing to do with the eatery. We WILL be back.

Wanted BBQ before heading to the airport.It is a hole in the wall in a tiny strip of shops. If you drive too fast, you will miss it. The BBQ is delicious!! First-time visitors get a sample. The first bite of the sample made my mouth sing! Smokey, full of flavor, tender, no need for sauce. The fried shrimp was some kind of lemon flavor, not greasy, tender, and the flavor in the shrimp, not just the batter.Had baked beans as a side and a drink. The mac and cheese was not to my liking and they were sold out of potato salad.This is take out spot, there are couple of tables and chairs for dining in.Try out Hookin Bull BBQ, you won't be disappointed.Wheelchair accessibility: It is a walk in spot.

Great custom service and good tasting food to. Initially I went on a Wednesday but they ran out of all there food, so one of the owners told me to come back on Friday and he would let me sample what they have and give me a 20 percent discount. I came back sampled some of there things. They was out of Brunswick stew so I settl3d on one of the big plates. It did not disappoint in fact it was big enough for rhe while family. My daughter who doesn't really like BBq said she loved the chopped chicken and their BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was sweet and had a very smooth texture to it. Not your typical sauce and thats what makes it right up my ally. Will come again when over there. Preferably at lunch time so I can try the full menu

Small location. Excellent food. Best customer service I've had on South side. Owner gave us a sample of whatever we wanted being that it was our first visit. Pull chicken and potato salad my favorite. Plus fried shrimp. Bake beans a little too sweet for my taste. My lady liked it all though. They won my future business. Check them out, if your in Jonesboro .

I remember a 3 day wilderness hunt In the high country and our commitment to track and harvest that old elk passed his prime. One taste of their Brunswick brought me back 30+ years when we fired up a homemade now called Rocket Stove on a single digit afternoon above the tree line as the wind blew the snow up against us. I just might suggest that they make jerky out of their seasoned ribs. They are right! “No Sauce Needed”. I’m all in with Hookin Bull!That’s the meat of it (pun intended) now, should I talk about the sides that others have said they ‘sample’ you? along with their mains? Icing on the cake!!!! while others provide bread - sticks.I know, a long read. But do you think “I’ll be back”? Oh! BTW! That Brunswick Stew we had going after that old elk (we bagged on day 3) was made by Theadore A. Jackson, II. Look here!!! Where can u go and the staff ask if you been there before and u get to sample the food before you purchase anything???These other businesses need to take notes.!!! But seriously the service was great the guys were nice and professional, food took a minute but we were waiting on ribs off the grill. So delicious! Sides are good we got baked beans and mac. Good conversation and it's close to home well definitely be back.. lobby looks outdated but baby don't let that fool you , you gone eat goodttttttt!!

Maybe I don’t come on a the best day or I’m jus coming off another bbq restaurant but it was ok.Got the rib tip meal because they ran out of shrimp to get combo. The smoky flavor was great but the ribs were underwhelming and a little tough not very tender. I did however enjoy the baked beans, the first I’ve had from a restaurant with meat in it.I would come back though to try to pulled meats because I wasn’t totally turned off just not impressed by the rib tips
