Food was authentic Italian. Fresh homemade pita bread, freshly made from scratch pastas, and the calamari as an appetizer - fantastico! Flavors were great and the dishes were well seasoned. We will order from here again! May even take a cooking class.

A wonderful Italian restaurant. Great tasting homemade pasta, out of this world gnocchi and awesome meatballs. We split the large Nona salad, (Very good!) Luigi and Sylvia are a delight. Almost forgot, the tiramisu was awesome as well. They are true Italians! We will be back!

If you like mediocre Italian fare served on cheap white Corelle dinnerware accompanied by silverware from your high school cafeteria, then this is your place. While technically parts of Italy are in the Mediterranean, you won't find any typical Mediterranean fare (e.g. kebabs, falafel, hummus, etc.) that this restaurant's name implies and that the food and menu pictures on Yelp indicate. Maybe there has been some recent change in the restaurant's menu and ownership that has resulted in a change from its previous 5 star reviews to where they are now. Who knows? We ordered a Caesar salad, Mediterranean Fettuccini and Meatball ala Parmigiana. We were asked if we would like fresh pasta which seemed like a nice touch. We were seated in the very small restaurant right next to a large, loud party who had been seated ahead of us instead of at one of the many other open tables. We expected that our food might come out a bit slowly considering the large party had most likely ordered before us. We were served chilled water without ice and the server brought out some pita bread (???) and a small Corelle plate of olive oil with salt, pepper & a little Parmesan cheese. Still don't know why we were seated next to the large party with the very tight table seating while there were plenty of open tables. When the server brought the large table's entrees, he couldn't reach the people at the end of the table due to the tight spacing between tables. How unprofessional to ask guests to hand plates down the table to others in their party rather than to serve the guests directly. After a great while, the server apologized about the delay and brought the Caesar salad. It was a slightly bigger Corelle plate of Romaine lettuce with a few store-bought croutons and Caesar dressing from a bottle. Almost immediately thereafter, a cook from the back brings out our entrees which had obviously been sitting under a warmer for some time to buy some time from the salad they obviously forgot to bring out earlier. There was even some comment from the cook about a screw up about the salad. Geez, at least don't mention it as maybe some people wouldn't notice it. But we did! The entrees were pretty pedestrian. Mediocre at best. Not sure the sauces were not canned. The fresh pasta was unremarkable. The meatballs were dry. The server asked how the food was and we replied it was just okay which curiously didn't elicit a response. We asked for the check so we could quickly leave. I noticed on the bill a $4/plate up charge for "fresh" pasta. I just shook my head because it should have expected this penny ante crap from this place. I guess since they didn't inform us of the up charge for the "fresh" pasta it should have been incumbent upon me to inquire at the time of order. As the saying goes, "Fool me once..." The server brought out a small Corelle plate with small cannelloni to apologize for the delay in the food. Alas, too little too late. A two star review might be too generous.

The food and service are worth a drive. Simple, quality, delicious food, served up by people who truly care about what they're making. "Family owned" and family run. The dining area is a little bright for my taste, but it's clean, spacious, and more than makes up for it. ❤️

First of all, let me tell you a fact: the owner is from Rome, Italy! Need I say more? you can tell how authentic the food is. They made fresh pasta every day. it was chewy just right and vey smooth. The Chocolate fettuccine was full of aroma from truffle oil and very interesting chocolate taste. It's NOT sweet like real chocolate don't worry, it's just very interesting, even though the scallops is quite small, I really enjoyed how different this dish is. The Calamari is AGAIN different since they're mixed tomato sauce and has sun dried tomatoes pieces in it. I would say it kicks away the greasy taste but f fried food and make it very refreshing. It's actually my first time ever having Fried calamari like this. The fettuccine al Mediterranean is simple but charming. And the owner is very nice and funny, he tells some joke as we gave him complements of the food, he even gave us some wine on the house. Overall I would definitely come here again!

First time here but not the last. Small and intimate dining, cloth table cloths and napkins. We ordered from the lunch menu chicken la Marsala, it was excellent can't wait to try other menu items. The owner and chef was also our server and he is also a real Italian! Food was great, the service was great, the atmosphere was great. For real Italian food not from a chain give it a try, you will be pleased.

We have been wanting to come here for quite sometime. Went with friend and two young boys and we all loved our dishes. Yes very authentic Italian food. The spaghetti bolognese was fantastic said my wife and our friend for their orders. I had the mussels spaghetti alla diavola which also was great just would recommend the chef step up to Prince Edward Island Canadian mussels to match the quality of the rest of the dishes. Had the calamari with a fantastic flavored marinara sauce. Even the boys loved that and ate most of their meals which says a lot. Will definitely go back again but this time much sooner than initial visit.

Too expensive for what you get. The owner builds a bond with customers by coming to their table. Yet, if I was going to spend my hard earned money I would not spend it here. It is too expensive. I have been to Frankie's on Canton Rd. Their portions and quality match their prices. I understand times are difficult, but over charging customers is not an authentic way to run a restaurant. If the prices matched the food it would be a different review.

Delish!!! We found our new favorite Italian restaurant. We had the calamari, lasagna, caccioepepe with chicken noodles. Can't wait to try some of their other dishes.

I normally wouldn't leave a bad review, but after being charged $57 for a meal I couldn't eat was beyond disappointing. I wanted to try Italia Mediterranean because of all the good reviews, when I walked up to the door I was a bit skeptical due to only 1 customer inside and he looked just as disappointed (He eventually got up and left upset). I ordered a raspberry Bellini, (way too sweet more like syrup) I asked the waiter to replace with a glass of sparkling red wine. The red wine although cold, sparkling and seemed fresh was not. It had a vinegar taste to it, like it had been sitting for months. The beef Cannelloni looked really delicious, but once I ate my 1st and 2nd fork full I quickly realized it was too salty. The only thing worth complimenting was the warm pita bread. I paid my tab and left! I eat out almost everyday so I know good food and drink. I love local restaurants and not a fan of chain establishments so I was actually eager to try this restaurant. Unfortunately this was a NO

Love the food and hospitality. They serve fresh pasta from scratch and the La Piccata is amazing.

To not eat at Italia Mediterranean grill would be a crime against yourself. Luigi is not only a great cook, but the hospitality is incredible. I haven't had anything that wasn't incredible, and by the way, the limoncello is crazy good!
