Idk if it was just a fluke but we waited over 45 mins for the food, another 45 minutes to get the checks and part of the order was never even received, we would not go back based on the terrible service...

So I went in just recently to see how things have changed. What I want to understand is why corporate thought it was ever a good idea to get rid of Danny? Danny was in early everyday and left late most days.He single hand idly was the reason anchor bar didn’t not end up shutting down. So what happens when they fired Danny? People who worked there for YEARS all left right behind him. They gave no notice that he was gonna be fired, just told him to get out. Anywhere that is going to a GM with no notice is ridiculous.So now that he is gone, they brought in some lady named Hillary. Let me tell you what, she knows nothing about running anchor bar and is going to tank the whole business. The food quality has went down, the servers are all new and don’t understand the menu at all. I would not recommend even a homeless person going here for a free meal. As I was leaving a massive rat came running out from the back. It makes me really question everywhere I eat at now.None of this is acceptable, and I hope corporate figures something else out. Because before, the place was an amazing atmosphere to be at, the staff made you feel welcome and always left wanting to come back.My deepest regards.Concerned customer.

I wish I could do 0 stars. My family and I came here and got horrible service. It took forever to get drinks and food never came. Waited for over an hour and the manager came and said our food order was canceled because we seemed agitated. Anyone would be annoyed with no food and no one came back to check on us or refill drinks. People came in and ate and left while we were still waiting. They did not seem to be busy at all. We also had kids with us. There was no accommodation or apology just a canceled order after waiting over an hour. Will never come back here.

I would NEVER recommend anyone eat here. We came to this restaurant after a tournament! We are from South Carolina!! They kept us waiting for over an hour! For the manager to come to me and say it’s seems you all upset so I told the kitchen to stop making the order!! This was very unprofessional, and horrible service! We had children with us as well!! Do Not waste your time or your money!!

I’m originally from Buffalo. Was thrilled to see that there was an Anchor Bar in Georgia. Went to this restaurant several months ago and loved it. There was a good crowd and the roast beef on Kummelwick was delicious. It was authentic. Returned yesterday and after driving 30+ miles, was totally disappointed. There was no one there to seat us - short staffed. So we just grabbed a table (restaurant was pretty empty for lunch time - I think I know why).. After we sat ourselves down it took 10-15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. After placing our order, it took a long time to get our food. Our appetizer came out with our food. We never received silverware. Had to ask for napkins. The roast beef was served on a “hamburger roll” with salt & caraway seeds on top not a Kummelweck roll. Plus the beef was lukewarm. The manager/owner stopped at our table to see how everything was. We explained our disappointment. He didn’t really seem to care.

I am a long time customer for this location. I always had a great experience. So when I heard there was new management I was curious how this would go. I brought my family in and it was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. Our waiter only came to our table twice . The new GM Hilary brought our food to the table. She was very rude. It was like I was annoying her being there. What was odd is she was just vaping outside in front of the restaurant when we came in. When she brought our food, she was carrying her purse. The food was ice cold. We asked for ketchup and she never brought it and we never got refills for our drinks. When our waiter came back, we asked for a to go box because we were not happy.I was one of the people who filled out the survey and I praised the old management. As someone who has owned businesses and run restaurants, this place is now a disgrace. Hilary has no experience and it shows. Reading the other reviews proves I'm not alone in this experience. This location has taken 1000 steps backwards.Unfortunately, you have now lost a longtime customer. I can see why old employees have all quit. Waste of time and money. Bring back Danny, he knew what he was doing. Not Hilary!

I received an email for a $10 coupon announcing new management. While I was thrilled initially to see their newfound commitment to their establishment and desire to hire the best management possible, I became suspicious upon reading the full text of the email.I entered the following prompt into ChatGPT:“Write me a letter to customers of a bar named Anchor Bar explaining new management, our commitment to service, and offering a $10 off loyalty coupon.”I’ve attached the results and it is near verbatim to the text of the promotional email. I wonder how true their commitment is to customer service when they are using generative AI to write basic promotional emails. Are the responses to reviews on here directly from the general manager or are they also products of ChatGPT prompts?Dietary restrictions: They used to be excellent at accommodating gluten free customers before the managerial change. Hopefully that has continued.

Just went here on a humbug, and it wasn't bad. It was karaoke night, and they had some pretty good singers. The signature drink Cobb Punch was very good. I would definitely go back.

Last week my family and I decided we would make our way back to Anchor Bar for a nice family dinner. However, as it comes to my attention there appears to be a whole new staff and management, which have completely revamped the restaurants atmosphere. The restaurant used to be a nice, friendly environment, but the switch has flipped. The new general manager (Hillary I believe) was terrible. She had zero empathy for any of the customers and is severely under qualified to run a restaurant. I have no idea why the owners of this restaurant decided to layoff the previous management as they were a fun and charismatic group.I don’t recommend this place solely for the new manager and staff. The food was great but does not make up for the lack of quality service.

We had our first experience here a few weeks ago and were really excited to go with friends. The ambiance is not the best as it’s an open room and there was an ongoing poker tournament taking up half the building: the charcuterie was Ok, the wine was good, but we were really disappointed in the service. Our server forgot about us the entire time we were left to order from the bar staff regularly. I’m not sure what the dynamic of the team is here but we will most likely go someplace else for views and good wine.

Being from Buffalo this place is a disgrace in a representation of the "city of good neighbors". The GM of the restaurant (Hillary) met us at the door with an eye roll and an attitude to match. I should have taken the clue from the gentleman in line in front of us that turned around and walked out when he saw her. She seated us and I asked her why she was angry. She then proceeded to tell me that my energy was off and she wasn't angry. And then the drama show just escalated from there. Thank goodness her shift was either over or she got sent home.Long story short she certainly needs to pick a different career rather then hospitality. I don't know that I'll be back. It's a shame because the food was good.Note: read the reviews of recent. This ship looks like it may be sinking. Anchor Bar Corporate - please help this restaurant out...cause they need it!Also note how all the responses come from "the Anchor Bar Kennesaw General Manager" and never use a name as not to personally get involved. Ether the owner doesn't care or they have an ecommerce team taught to deflect. :)

I wasn’t impressed at all with the wings. The mango habanero were sweet to me with no heat. Then the wings 2 up that were suppose to be hotter weren’t hot at all. They had a strong vinegar taste to them and that’s it. The ranch and blue cheese was good though. Our service sucked. They weren’t even really busy at all but the service was terrible. Took forever for everything. Wasn’t happy about that but we were tired from bein on the road all day. Anyway kids pizza was terrible, the kids pizza roll things were pretty good though I tried a bite. The burger tasted pretty good too the person said. Honestly I’d go somewhere else next time..
