Today, my husband and I had lunch at El Nopal. We had eaten there several times before and had always enjoyed it. Today, however, was not one of those days. I ordered the Tilapia Tacos. A plate with three soft tortilla shells was brought to the table with fried, shriveled tilapia pieces on each that looked like they had been fried and refried 4-5 times. I dressed them with a mayo based sauce, lettuce, and guacamole and managed to eat one and a half tacos. The point here is that fried fish should not crunch like overly toasted bread. My husband’s meal was adequate but not great (Shrimp Tacos). I don’t think, we will be eating there again anytime soon.

I wish I could rank some one of the guys behind the cash register just one star. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed this place a good deal quite a few times. (The only thing I didn't care too much for was their salsa. I always had to get burrito sauce. They're nothing like La Parrilla salsa when it's really hot and cold.)Other than that small thing with the salsa, everything was great. However, some clown decided to charge me double on the price of extra queso. I let this guy know that I've already paid the same price about three times. He said well that's what it is. I paid the bill. He said something like thank you, come back soon and I said I doubt I will.Guess what, I'm not coming back.I walk with my feet when they pull something like this. Zero tolerance for businesses who try pull stunts like this. I'm done. Money's too hard to deal with stuff like this. Goodbye. If you go, double check your bill really hard. Make sure you get extra cheese if you order it, make sure they don't try to upcharge you on the bill. I hate to say it because all the waiters and folks seem to be very very nice and good people. But as far as I'm concerned one of the night managers on a Friday or Saturday was terrible and he lost my business for the whole restaurant. I'm going to have to worry about that again because I'm not coming backDietary restrictions: I'm sure you can ask and I'll do whatever. Watch your bill.Parking: Parking is great. Servers are good, cooks are good, one manager is a moron. Watch your wallet. Make sure you're not overcharged on your bill and you better watch it each time cuz they might change it on you on the 3rd or fourth or fifth visit. Don't trust the prices on your receipt. Double check and ask questions! Don't let them rip you off. A lot of times management is zero help.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of kids. Sometimes it gets loud in hereWheelchair accessibility: I'm sure you can get in with a wheelchair. They have tables you can sit at for sure

Why did we up and leave? Drink order was not even taken after sitting there 20 minutes. We ate the hard yellow chips and up and walked out ; despite the 1.25 tacos on Tuesdays we will return to our original favorite place .

Food was really good, very hefty portions for the price. Service was on point and comfortable atmosphere. We usually don't like to try new Mexican restrounts but this place was great. The only thing I wish they had were tortas.Vegetarian options: They can pretty much do anything vegan including fajitas.Parking: Large parking lot, plenty of roomKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly and sings for bdays

Went here after church. My wife loves Mexican food. Guess I usually always get number 6 but every once in a while I'll go for fajitas. If your going to do it. Go ahead and do shrimp, steak and chicken. There was no wait at all. Parking is very ample. Plenty of parking and no wait. Good food that comes out quickly. What's not to like. She also really likes the fresh guacamole. I don't care for guacamole however fresh made is much chunkier and hearty rather than pasty.Parking: Right in front with 100 spots to park
