Down home mid city hot dawgs n burgers like in the old days. Really great hot dogs. Pleasant staff. You can't beat this little hot dog place. Started in 1920 ,still in the family. Open Saturday til 4. Closed on Sunday. Mon ,Tues thurs,Friday til 5. Wed til 2. I promise you'll love it.

Food is fresh and prepared with care. Service is excellent which is hard to find anymore at any price point. Atmosphere is casual and very friendly. Prices are still reasonable. Street parking. Not much room inside. If you need space for a wheelchair, I would go to the other location.

They closed the inside restaurant on a Thursday. They said they had no help. We were traveling through 1/11/24 had to eat in the cold. Would not recommend this place at all.
Step back in time? Yea, thank you very much I think I will! Loved this little gem in downtown LaGrange. The hot dogs are excellent, reasonably priced (imagine that!!) and the atmosphere is cozy and nostalgic. By cozy, I mean it’s small. Sit at the counter if you can or in one of the small 2-toppers beside the bar. How rare to find a family run restaurant that has been in business for over 100 years. I dare say not much has changed-and that’s a good thing. We had the slaw dog and the kraut dog and highly recommend both. If you are in the area as stop here is a “must-do”.

This is one of the best vintage places to get a burger. Going in their is a treat and invitation to travel back in time.Parking: The parking can be tough at peak times so you may to walk a little.

My first time visiting and will definitely be back! Slaw dog was really good as well as the Brunswick stew! I had Lay's sour cream and onion tater chips on the side which I used to dip in the Brunswick stew?. Don't knock it til ta try it ??
