Clean. Good customer service. Jamaican style restaurant. Dine in or take out. Plenty of parking. On busy Lawrenceville highway. If you are a delivery service, you must go inside to pickup. At times you may have to wait in the food.

Trash!!!! The food belongs here ?? ? . The owner is very sweet, however I gave them 2 chances, the 2nd to redeem themselves from the first disappointment, and both times were a complete waste of my money. I bought curry chicken for myself and Jeremy for my husband. Both plate have very SMALL portions, no meat, a trillion bones, dried out plantains , and about 1/4 cups of vegetables. I really tried to make myself like this food,but but we threw both plates in the trash and went to a different spot.

One plate was inedible. The rice wasn't done and had a crunch to it. Was supposed to be curry chicken but it didn't taste like it had any curry at all. The other plate was edible but was mostly bones like the other reviews have said. The patties were really good though.

I had a chicken patty and the bbq j*** plate. The spices and flavor are on point! Definitely a go to Caribbean spot.

FANTASTIC! If I could eat here daily I would great food, great customer service, great prices! I've gotten the j*** chicken, bbq j*** chicken, & stew. Only recommend placing and picking up your order earlier in the day - he runs out sometimes (bc the food is that good)!

Absolutely delicious and authentic Jamaican food! Not only do you get an amazing fresh and flavorful meal. You get efficient and warm service from a humble spirit named Steve!! He is amazing amazing amazing!!! I came from Oklahoma and was blessed to meet this great guy and dine from his cozy establishment. The oxtails and curry chicken are delicious as are the sides that are included! The coco bread and beef Pattie’s DELICIOUS! If you are local and have not dined there or are a traveler like myself passing through. Be sure to go check out Coconut Grove!!!! I wish him many more years of service! A new favorite of mine.

Since the fish meal is typically cooked to order, I called ahead and ordered it today. It was ready when I arrived. The owner, Steve, made my Yellow Tail Snapper to perfection. It was seasoned and flavored just right. As they say in Jamaica “him put him foot inna it, yow”. It was “wicked good”. The cabbage was also perfect; tastier than many other Jamaican restaurants. And he makes an amazing fruit punch too. He called it the “I love you very much fruit punch”. LOL… I’m not sure if that name will stick, but it really did taste like he loves his customers very much. Anyway, this is not a fancy restaurant with a long menu from ceiling to floor. Instead, it’s a simple restaurant where the owner keeps the menu simple and manageable so that he can concentrate on quality over quantity. He is down-to-earth and very appreciative of his customers. I will continue to go to Coconut Grove restaurant because I always feel welcomed there and I leave with “mi belly full and irie”.

Had an amazing experience today ! The owner was so kind and friendly. I was honestly having a rough day but his hospitality was greatly appreciated. And I must say the food was amazing !! Being that I’m Caribbean I had high expectations and he knocked them out the park .

I ordered a small oxtail plate with cabbage , and peas and rice for lunch. The oxtails were tender and full of flavor. I enjoyed it and didn't leave a drop behind. Steve was very kind and the customer service was great. I'll be back!

I had my first visit here last week… Upon arriving, I was immediately greeted by the gentleman who owns the establishment. I went on to order Curry Chicken and requested white rice that he did not have available. He offered me rice & peas and offered to remove some of the peas, I agreed. I’m usually a Golden Krust girl but not anymore! The chicken was very flavorful, moist and fall off the bone! The cabbage was very flavorful and the plantains were delicious as well ( I usually don’t get either at GK). While I was ordering, a woman entered the establishment (I thought she was a customer) and also took the time to greet me before heading back behind the counter. Since then, I’ve gone back twice (Mon & Tues) only for the restaurant to be closed during open hours… When I called the number available, the owner was very forthcoming about an emergency and says that he will be open tomorrow. The great food, great service and transparency is why I will be back!
