I honestly want to like this place. The decor I loved. However the wait to get our food took a little over an hour. We were actually surprised because the time we came was not really full. With this length of time I thought the food would wow us, and sad to say our meals were not wowed. My steak and eggs along with grits were just okay. With the prices being as they are, and trust me, I get costs, I just felt for the mediocre service and ok food, along with the wait was disappointing. I do feel there is room for growth. What would help if there are more chefs preparing the food. Lastly, after we paid our waiter at the table as we walked out, there was no one around to thank us for coming to the establishment. Kinda felt unappreciated for our patronage. I’m all for second chances, however, because maybe there was a staff shortage today.

Highly disappointed. Trying to support local small businesses. Food was overcooked with absolutely no seasoning or flavor. We did not eat the food. Spoke with manager who offered to recook the meal but we declined based on what were already served. Manager gave a 10% discount off the food. $2.80 off of a $50 bill which we paid in taxes of $2.84! Awful experience! Will never go there again or recommend to anyone.

My 1st visit was today, but my 2nd time eating their food. This review is not a negative one per say, but it's just my personal opinion on slight changes that I feel should be considered. First of all, the staff was very pleasant & professional. I enjoyed the atmosphere & love the DJ playing music, but I think that the volume could come down just a touch so that conversations could be heard more easily at your own table. For the price of the entrees, the Peach cobbler French toast could at least have chicken wings like the Chicken & waffles because you get nothing else with French toast for the exact same price as the chicken & waffles. $6 for a small portion of eggs & $1 extra for cheese is ok, but I would like the saucer to be totally full at the bottom ?. Just a couple of small things to consider, but I enjoyed the experience. Lovely atmosphere, presentation of the place is nice & the food is definitely Scrum-did-dly-ump-tious!

My family was in town for Easter weekend & I wanted to take them to some of my favorite local spots. I have dined here before and really enjoyed it, the food, service, all of that. This time, we were a party of 9. I made a reservation in advance. And the entire experience was pretty much a disaster.First of all, we were sat in the back corner of the restaurant in tables that were in an “L” shape and some of my party was literally sitting in the window seal of the restaurant. I couldn’t believe it. We were so uncomfortable. I’ve seen large parties done here before where 2 tables were pushed together normally and the party sat in a line. No, we sat in an L shape and in the window seal. After speaking with the manager and realizing that basically nothing was going to be done, we tried to just enjoy each other. Next disaster was the food. I had a party of 9 that all order at the same exact time. ….That’s important. When the food came out, 5 people’s food came out initially. 10 minutes later, 2 more plates came out. This left 2 people just sitting at the table waiting on their food. At least 20 minutes went by and no food ever came. Some people that initially got their food was finishing up. Someone in my party had to go speak with the manager, AGAIN, and then food eventually came out. So basically a 30 minute window from when the first plates came out to the last plates. And everything was ordered at the exact same time. Whether it was all put in, who knows. And also to note- the 2 people who go their food last had chicken and waffles, nothing special at all. Also, we never got water refills after asking twice. I had to track down the server after 20 minutes of having an empty cup of water and ask can I PLEASE have some water. It just wasn’t a great experience.I would like to mention as well that there was never any resolve, compensation or anything offered to our party at all for all the inconvenience. Waiting 30 minutes for 2 people’s food & absolutely NOTHING was offered. It sucks when you enjoy something and try to bring other people to experience it and it turns out like this. Complete disaster. I probably won’t be back. Definitely not with a large party.I included a picture of how the table was set up and you can see the two people literally sitting in the window. Smh.

I enjoyed the food. That’s was the best part. Service was good and everyone was kind and cordial. The prices are a bit high. I spent over $100 for 3 people, so it will be a once in a while spot.

Went on a Wednesday the grits were not the best. Catfish and Wings were fried well and crispy. I am not sure the waffle was made from scratch. I really wanted to love everything but it was just ok.

Never experienced something like this before. The price was HIGH , the wait time was EXTREMELY HIGH , and even waiting on your check was a long time. I came in at 12:30 and left at 3:30… I will never return again.
