“Came from Fort Lauderdale, trying to get to know the area. So glad to have come. Across this place, steam fish and ackee rolls were amazing! Drinks were strong! Most important the DJ was such a vibe, I danced all night! Nice clean, fun music. Im glad to know this Gem is in the area when I return. Nice to have upscale Jamaican restaurants.“
“Used to go to Golden Crust since I did not know this place existed. Friend suggested it and I Will never eat Golden Crust again after coming to this restaurant. Food is delicious and the pricing is amazing. Best bang for the buck in Atlanta. Will come here once a week from now on!!!“
“This restaurant is top notch. Food is tasty, was well seasoned and fresh. Drinks right, especially Rum Punch. Ambiance is superb. The owner Mike is great tending to the customers, he's very personable and friendly. I've come to this restaurant three times and received excellent service every time. If you're looking for an authentic Jamaica Vibe come to Sparkle D's. Restaurant.“
“The rice and peas are cooked to Perfection and the jerk sauce is nice and spicy. I came because I'm getting my car serviced next door and needed food. The sweet cool gave me plantains and cabbage for free. It's a small family business vibe inside. The staff are really Jamaicans so the food on point. Definitely the best rice and peas I've had on Atlanta. Definitely coming back“
“Ate here yesterday for the first time and truly enjoyed the food!Oxtails were very good and the cabbage and rice was a winner too!I've also been searching for some desert that reminds me of when my grandmother was around andTHE POUND CAKE WAS AMAZING!!!“
“Food is really good. Not over spiced or oily. Perfect cross between salt and spices. Establishment was very clean, I didn’t see a spec of anything on the floor. It also SMELLED clean, you can tell they must clean daily. The young man that served me was very kind and generous. I got there an hour before closing so no rice and beans or plantains, but oh my the white rice was SO GOOD. I didn’t know white rice could taste so yummy haha. I got the curry goat and cabbage. Great prices, great portions, and great food. 5/5 for sure. Thank you guys!!!“
“I was not expecting much, but this place is delicious!!! Brown stew chicken is really the only Jamaican dish my mom would ever make so I stuck with a classic and it was sooooo good. My only regret was only getting a small plate and not ordering another side of plantains. This is my new favorite lunch spot in the area“
“Some of the best jerk I’ve had in America, yes, the entire country. It’s hard to find authentic Jamaican jerk but this place does it. I’ve lived in NY and ATL, this spot gets it right 95% of the time. They sell out a lot but it’s worth the headache lol.“
“The food is decently priced. I feel like it’s more expensive than normal Jamaican spots because of inflation, but the food was so good. I got stew chicken with cabbage and plantain(2, I ate the other one before taking the pic) for the sides. They have other sides that you can pay extra for, but the cabbage was delicious. Would definitely go backVegetarian options: They had a veggie plate and I believe veggie patties as wellParking: Free parking in the lot“
“I’m not sure what changed at this location but this is usually my go to place for lunch. I got the barbi jerk with rice n peas and the chicken was great but the peas in the rice was under cooked. It was still kind of hard. The customer service was great.“
“Quality food. I don’t even have to say nun smack eem down. The proportions are enough for two people & omg the jerk dipping sauce…make sure you get extra. Chicken is juicy and the flavor is on point. As you can see I couldn’t wait to take a bite from the coco bread, don’t leave without it“
“Great spot!! Oxtails and Jerk Chicken were both incredible. One of the best Jamaican spots in the city. Unfortunately they don't have Coco Bread nor Beef Patty but they've got pretty everything else and it's 10/10 would most def “
“We ended up at this restaurant by accident. I’m so happy I wanted some coco bread and decided to walk in. When we walked in we were immediately greeted. I didn’t know they served food I thought it was just a bakery. We decided to try the beef patty, coco bread & curry chicken. OMG it was delicious. I’m going back on Friday!“
“I was at Bruster's one day and they had the grill outside going. Had everyone at Bruster's damn near peeking around the corner to find out where that good smell was coming from. On a different day I actually stopped in and got a jerk chicken plate. The food was good but I expected it to be really good. It wasn't bad or anything at all it was decent. It just hurts my feelings I was expecting a dance party in my mouth and didn't get that“
“I have "tried" the Jerk Chicken plate at LJC at least 15 times and am never disappointed. The portions are large, the flavor is authentic, and all at a very affordable price. Family owned and operated. Wear your pants with a flexible waist because you won't leave anything on your plate. Expect to be full and smiling when you leave.“
“Food is delicious everytime I go. A medium plate can easily feed 2 people. Not a huge fan of the cabbage each time I I've tried it its bland and undercooked. I usually get extra rice in place of the cabbage. Fried chicken is very well seasoned, jerk turkey wings and jerk chicken well seasoned and cooked. Stew chicken is delicious as well. They just started making beef patties and those are delicious also.“
“Awesome I tried this place for the first time today. I got goat, rice and peas and cabbage. Since I’ve moved out this way this is the best Jamaican food I’ve had since I’ve lived out here. Taste better than tastes as well. Everything is fresh , hot, idk if he does seasoning but even if he doesn’t it still taste amazing . Home cooked food as well. Awesome try try“
