“When I first started coming to Refuge it was little more than a food truck and a generator powering industrial-strength fans that forced hot summer air over a beautifully painted mural and some Ikea tables and chairs. This place reflects some of the best of things about Clarkston: small beginnings, but great people, great food, and a good heart. Today I had a Chicken Samusa and probably one of the best cups of espresso I've had anywhere in the world. If you want a treat-yourself experience, get the Almond croissant and a Cortado. You won't be disappointed.Located conveniently in the heart of Clarkston with easy access to 285, a bike trail reaching from Stone Mountain to Avondale, and much more, this little spot should be at the top of your list of must-experience places. Grab a cup of coffee and a good conversation, and stay for lunch at one of the many amazing restaurants that are just a short walk away!“
“This place was absolutely amazing better than what we expected. Saw this place on Instagram of one of the food bloggers that I follow and this was at the moment kind of place to go one night, my husband has really been trying to find a really good Philly cheese steak place here in Georgia and he has deemed this one his go to place for Philly Cheese steaks. We got the traditional Philly cheesesteak added tomatoes and lettuce, the Philly cheese steak loaded fries, and the fried rice as chicken as the protein. Everything was absolutely delicious The fries were so flavorful The Philly cheese steak was full of meat this is definitely a place where you do not have to ask for extra meat because they give you more than enough, and the fried rice had its own flair it was absolutely delicious it also had a kick a spice to it that was unexpected but great. For random night and just trying to figure out where to go for good food and great quality and quantity this will now be our go-to place. It's a black-owned family-owned business the wife and her husband and their kids the wife who works the counter and the cash register is very hospitable and has a great attitude. 10/10 Will recommend and come again!!!!Parking: You can park right out front there's plenty of room.“
“I always get the fish for myself whether it is the fried fish or jerked salmon or what the menu offers I end up eating one there and taking one or sometimes two home please don't judge. My wife loves the ribs. We have had them cater a few of our events and everyone has loved everything. The doubles are amazing!!!“
“Cris and Larry are very personable and the food was excellent. They arrived well ahead of the scheduled time for our Vacation Bible School. Our theme was “Food Truck Party”. They added the special touch we needed to finalize the week. What a blessing and a privilege to work with them.“
“On that side of town so stopped by. My daughter and I tried several items all were good. My favorite were the ribs and the potato salad which had a unique smoky type flavor while still capturing the great taste of a good southern potato salad. Everything was fresh tasting and will definitely be back. I don’t love on that side but it’s definitely worth the drive“
