Local diner that met & exceeded any expectations. Food was very good. Peanut butter pie was also very good. Donna, our server, was wonderful. Owner was entertaining & gracious hostess. This was our 1st visit but not our last.
Pork roast tough to eat. Left it on plate. Mashed potatoes and gravy. Cold. Did not eat. Green beans. Tasted old. Did not eat. Cornbread. Excellent. Very good. Whipped butter that went on cornbread. Very good. Glass of water. Very good. I paid for food. Told cashier food was awful. She offered a refund. I didn’t take it because I ate the cornbread. Waitress was very nice. Cashier was very nice. Other customers at my table were very nice (community table). I noticed one also did not eat the pork roast.

ordered the grilled chicken plate with slaw and potato and gravy and sweet tea.chicken had zero flavor and wasnt tender. potatos and gravy seemed right out of a box. sweet tea wasnt sweet .wont return. portions were small.

This is a “country cooking” place and they do it well. The food is great - the service is even better. There’s no “fru fru” food or people here.
Fries were cold, onion burned on the hamburger steak. Fried chicken had thick hard batter that was hard to bite through. Service was great. Much different than last year.
