If I had to stay in Macon and needed a hotel bar… this is what I’d ask for. It’s perfect. Quaint with a beautiful view. Great wait staff/ bartender.

I came with a friend on a week night. When we arrived there was no one there so we were able to easily take a seat at the bar. Service was quick because of this. I started with the Win Lose Or Draw which is a take on the French 75. Very good. I then tried the Laid Back which was also very good. Though in the moment I think I enjoyed the first cocktail a bit more. Unfortunately it was a bit chilly out to sit outside, but the outdoor area looked very nice. Inside was spacious enough. Love that the building is now a hotel and bar! Downtown has changed a lot over the last decade and this was a nice addition. There was only one bartender. Over the time I was there everyone who came through was served relatively quickly. So it seems that on a chill night one bartender works nicely enough. However, I can't imagine how service could be during busier times. Despite this I enjoyed my time and service. Next time though I really hope to be able to enjoy the outside rooftop area.

Hightail rooftop bar which is located inside 45 tribute collection by Marriott. Simon was great and we had the best cocktail which was called “win, lose or draw”, 75’ Allman Brothers, 1975 day with butterfly pea flower.I WOULD

Great food and drinks:We had the wings and sliders, and both were amazing. The teriyaki wings were outstanding and incredibly crispy. Plus, the view of downtown Macon from the rooftop only added to the overall experience. As for drinks, we sampled most of the specialty cocktails. A few standouts include "The Pinkest City in the South" and "Win, Lose, or Draw" (their take on the French 75). "The Silvery Moon" was a controversial drink in our group; you either loved it or hated it, so if you're feeling adventurous, give that one a try.

This was a first visit on Newtown Macon's revitalization efforts. They have hosted different events in this area. This an adult themed night of cocktails and even small bites if you are up for it.I was up for the sights at this bar. It was very nice, clean, and relaxing. If you are looking for quiet, classy sip, then this the place.

I hosted a cocktail party in May '23 and it was a perfect evening! The staff was fabulous and did a great job taking care of my guests, the food was delicious and the bartenders were fun and lively! We couldn't ask for a better view of the Macon skyline and sunset was amazing!! Thankful to all the folks at Hotel 45 who made our party a huge success!!!

Very nice bar on the sixth floor of Hotel 45. Has outdoor seating with a view of downtown Macon. Definitely worth having a cocktail here.

It's got a view and drinks were decent (on par with other bars) but after several visits we have had the same complaints: kinda pricey, really slow service, limited seating. We've only ever seen two bartenders and maybe a barback but still end up waiting a while even though it's slow. If you sit at the bar, you get people standing behind and around you waiting to order. Other indoor seating can fill up quickly. Outside the view is nice and seating area is pretty good. It could use some improvement but it's cool. I'd say (unless they improve) make this place a stop during your night but not the main event.

So many issues with this visit, during the Cherry Blossom festival. Children and teens were running amuck on the rooftop bar seating area, turning cartwheels, having teen girl drama, etc. We didn't expect to find anyone under 21 at 11:00 PM in the seating area of a bar. We noted a couple trying to have a quiet moment and enjoy the view, decided to leave. The noise inside and outside the bar was high. Also experienced the best and worst m'ai t'ai's. First bartender was great. She was a professional. The second bar tender poured bacardi, OJ and grenadine in a glass over a little ice and handed them to me. They weren't cold and tasted pretty bad. First pair of drinks was about 21.00, second pair was 25.00. Not sure why. Not sure I'll return.

This place was so great! We walked into the hotel 45, and we were led up a small staircase to an elevator that took us up a few floors to the Hightales Rooftop bar. Service was a little slow, but fit a fine dining bar experience. The menu was exotic and exquisite, offering blue crab cakes, a delicious soup of the day, and high selections of meats and sides. Our lemon drop martini was flavorful and strong. The views were AMAZING. You are able to see beautiful downtown Macon, GA and seeing it at night is a great experience.

No heaters outside. How do you charge $200+ per night in Macon, Ga and have no heaters?! 1/5 because there is also limited inside seating but the bartender was very sweet

Good service and a great view. Sunset from the outside patio was beautiful. Great place to have a drink in Macon
