Deeelicious Jamaican cuisine. The owner went out of his way to share a treat with me and my wife, a tasty drink made with mango and ginger. And the portions served made payment worthwhile. We'll definitely be returning and you should Definitely go too.

There are several Jamaican restaurants in the area, but this was the one that had the best vegetarian (or I-tal, if you prefer) selection. Ordering a jerk tofu got me one of the more impressive renditions of such a dish I've ever seen, with ample sauteed vegetables and a sauce that delivered a robust, sweet and spicy flavor. The tea I got to drink was also sweet; I wish I had known that in advance as I would have just had water. I tried a coco bread (presumably with coconut milk in it), which was handy for sopping up my sauce but not anything that really jumped out at me. There were a few other vegetable dishes and an extensive selection of juices and Caribbean sodas, so plenty of ways to get the island flavor. This particular culinary tradition isn't all that easy to find in the U.S., so I was happy to have found it here.

First time visiting a place with this cuisine, really wanted to try oxtail and decided to bring family. The oxtail was so tender, you barely had to chew and it was buttery and savory, it was fantastic in my opinion. The family absolutely LOVED this place. The staff were very attentive to a plantain allergy. Also in my opinion, the bill seemed very fair since we had gotten several "market price" items. Also, the spinach patty was SO. GOOD. The people were so nice and friendly, we ended up getting one slice of the pina colada cake and another slice of the chocolate, and im not even sure those were on the bill, but we dug in when we got them home and they were also amazing. Very delicious food. Definitely reminded me of Jamaica. I can't recommend this place enough. We got to Macon after a long day on I75 and ound this place by luck and I'm so glad we did.

I happened to be in Macon picking up my husband due to an issue with his company truck. We started looking for a place to have dinner as soon as I picked him up. We found this spot on Google. We're vegans so, we automatically went for the tofu. I got Jerk Tofu & Fried Plantains, & he got the Stir Fried Tofu & Fries (Chips). Both of us got the Pineapple & Ginger juice that is freshly made on location. Robert, our waiter is super friendly, tuned in, & tapped in. He spoke more in depth with us about a few things & had us try a few more fresh juices. We'll be back in Macon to pick up my husband's truck, and I want to come back here when we do. The portions are plentiful, & we had to take to go boxes, & the place makes me feel like I'm on vacation. I already dance if the food is good so the soca & reggae playing in the background had me singing along & moving a little more than normal, like I do when I'm in my car. This was definitely a good find.

We had the BEST dinner at Tropical Flava!! We ordered the oxtail entree, jerk tofu entree, coco bread. All of our food was so flavorful and so so good! You can tell that the chefs put a lot of love into their food—it really felt authentic and homemade. They also gave us samples of all their natural drinks that are made in house (all delicious btw) and we decided on the cucumber/lime and natural fruit punch.Another thing we loved was the service. Everyone here is so friendly and treats you like family. I liked the feel of the restaurant; it’s set up like a lot of other Haitian & Caribb places I’ve been to. I felt like I was almost on vacation—somewhere totally away from Macon. Truly one of the best Caribbean spots I’ve tried in a while :)
