Amazing, REAL Soul Food/Home Cooking. So good and worth every penny! I'll definitely be back asap.

If you want legit home cooking, this is the place. The collards are killer and so's the cornbread (fine grain, slightly crumbly, and a little sweet). They may have wonderful mains other than fried chicken, but I will probably never know because I don't think I'll ever be able to NOT order their fried chicken. It's definitely brined/seasoned overnight and deep fried with a lightly dusted, perfectly crisped skin. They've got a good "to go" crowd, and a few tables usually open so can sit right down and dig in (because who could wait?).

Personally know the beautiful ladies who started this establishment, they can cook out of this world. Never had anything that I did not like. The seasoning, the taste, its ALWAYS amazing. Not to mention the ladies who own it are A1!! You want food good for the soul, come here and enjoy!

Mannnnn LOOK. Ok me and my guy loveeeee soul food. With that being said we use to drive 30-45 min just for some good soul food. This time we decided to look around cuz ain't no way we in the south and ain't no good cooking. We went in not knowing what to really expect but seeing previous reviews we was interested. We both got the pork chop dinner. This had to be a big ahhh pig cuz the pork chops were huge and they tasted so good. This was one of the best restaurants. It's in the cut around the corner so you really gotta look but TRUST it's there. The service was good and the food was amazing. The energy was very good energy. My rate is 10/10. I'll be back fa sho. And they deliver with doordash. Omgggg

I just want to know how did this place get 4.5 Stars??? Am I missing something the place is dead the food looks like it's just sitting under a light most of the day, Recently I went by to see if anything looked good on the menu nothing the lady came out and went right back to whatever room she came from and never came back out to greet us.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Had the salmon dinner for lunch with cabbage & mac & it was phenomenal. Flavor was on point & I’m stuffed ☺️. Customer service was A1? & I enjoyed gazing at all of the old black & white photos. I will be back!

The yams seemed canned and the greens were more on the bland side. The Mac n cheese was good, but they were skimping on the portions, so as tasty as it was, after a few bites it was gone. The ladies were nice, but I could see them actively skimping on portions and scraping to add just ONE more macaroni noodle or piece of yam (not just to my plate, but to take out orders as well and that turned me off). Basically, they weren't giving full hearty scoops of anything. Also the yam pieces were already tiny, not chunky at all, it was mostly sauce. I was disappointed with the portion sizes more than anything. I felt like I was at a friend's bbq and their aunties were giving the smallest portions possible to non-relatives or something. And the food wasn't cheap (not expensive, but not worth the amount for the portion sizes). I've never seen a soul food place give such small portions in my life! Lol, I can't get over it. I initially was going to get the oxtails (that's what I drove there for), but saw they were $29.99 versus the $21.99 I saw online, AND after seeing how small the portions sizes were, I decided to pass as I didn't want to pay $30 for 4 oxtails. Anyway, the fried chicken was good from what I remember, but I won't be returning as I was too disappointed.

Would have given 5 stars but my food was just a bit too salty. Down south soul food at its finest! The customer service was amazing and the prices can't be beat. I had the turkey meatloaf, Mac n cheese and cabbage. I also ordered a side of cornbread dressing with gravy. The mac n cheese was fantastic, reminded me of my family recipe. The cabbage had a great flavor, just salty same with the meatloaf. The dressing was pretty bland. Three dinners with drinks totaled 55 dollars which is great to me. Great comfort food!

I ordered the baked chicken, greens, mac and cheese, and dressing. This was my first time ordering and I expected better. My Mac and cheese was the best side! Chicken could have cooked longer and needed more seasoning. Greens lacked seasoning and the dressing was not even edible. Dressing had a sour taste. Sadly I had to trash it. I was actually disappointed.
