Great place to visit delicious food , fast staff
1st visit. Pretty large, nice bar, very clean, love the polished concrete floors! Nicer than most strip-mall Mexican places. Also they have a very large, varied menu. I tried the brisket Quesadilla and it was DELICIOUS! It's shredded very finely and it had a lot of meat in it too! Chips and salsa were fine - nothing special. Daniel was super sweet since it was our first visit and he gave us a free little sopapilla dessert! I also like that they dress nicely! You can just tell they have a lot of pride in their entire outfit which I appreciate! I wish that there was one here in Roswell - they would blow away El Porton which has steadily gone downhill for the last 10 years! Will definitely go when I am in the area! :)))
We love this spot! The location may be a little hard to find as it sits in a corner. The shopping plaza is never really busy when we visit. The nachos here are very good! Complimentary chips and salsa. My favorite is the steak burrito. Yummy. I get it every time and it never disappoints. The customer service is also good and very welcoming. There is always a nice crowd and we have never waited to long to be seated. If you’re in the area, give this place a try! Your taste buds will be satisfied!
Another Tuesday which means the opportunity to try a new Taco spot. After a visit to Ax Therapy my sister found this location and we decided to partake.Upon walking in we were greeted by 3 welcoming smiles. The hostess staff was amazing and set a very upbeat vibe for me as a new patron of this establishment. The establishment was very clean. I’m talking clean floors, clean tables, and most of all, a clean entry area. You can tell that the staff works together to keep the place tidy.We were seated immediately as the location is huge which is an added bonus. Our waiter, Alex, arrived to the table and greeted us with a smile and welcomed us to Zamas. This was our second “Welcome to Zamas” of the night so you know my Customer Service Radar was super HAPPY! After his welcome he made some drink recommendations and took our drink order. He listened and ensured to repeat our order back to us. Bonus points for Alex! The menu provides an assortment of Mexican goodies. It was literally a page after page of ooh’s and aah’s. LoL! Trust me, it’s something for everyone.Let’s talk Food:Chips and Salsa- The chips taste homemade and are perfectly crisp and come with an amazing salsa. I would suggest asking for an extra salsa as it’s so good you will want to add it to everything. Spoiler alert, I used It for my appetizer and entree as well. LoL!Appetizer- Pulled Chicken Empanada.Perfectly Golden. Super Meaty. Great portion. Not as seasoned as I would have liked, but not bland either.Entree- Southern Chicken Tacos.Babeeeeeeeeee. The chicken inside these tacos are Southern Fried to Golden Perfection. The meat is moist and meaty like chicken should be and the chunks are fried to a perfect finish of a crispy outside and poultry perfection inside. Paired with the toppings, this dish is Taco Goodness Amplified. Yeah! I’m coming back for these. Each Taco is filled with meat. There is no shortage of meat inside like most places and the presentation provides an added sense of satisfaction as the layers are placed perfectly for maximum bite satisfaction. Ummmmmm, Tacos!Overall, this was an amazing experience and I would recommend anyone who likes Mexican to drop by when in the area. Our waiter checked on us during our stay at perfect intervals. Our cups were never empty and the table didn’t want for anything. A True representation of Customer Service. #YouveGottaGoFood- 9/10Service- 10/10Environment- 10/10Cleanliness- 10/10
Good Mexican restaurant with a very large menu. This place seems to be known for their margaritas and other beverages. We didn't try any this go around but the food was good and the salsa and the fresh guacamole was very good.Service this go around was a little slow but sped up as the visit went on. We'll be trying it again. I would suggest it as a good night out place to go.

I recently gave Zama's another try. I am pleased to write that my experience was much better than the last review! Adrian was friendly and made my husband and I feel welcome. The food was great and the margaritas were excellent! I am thankful that Mr. Velasquez reached out to me after my last review and listened to my concerns. This restaurant is a favorite for my family, so glad we went back!
Great food- better than typical, 1/2 price beer on Wednesday, good salsa...roasted. Armando is great..... only complaint is that the overhead lighting is very harsh-exposed light bulbs. Try the steak!
Great atmosphere, waiters, food and drinks.Forgot to take a pic of the meal, but this Passion Margarita is a must get. Sweet, spicy, refreshing and delicious.
Food was very good. The flavors and the amount you get in each dish is fantastic. Service was fantastic, they even their little birthday thing without my husband prompting them. They had check my ID for a drink.
Zama never disappoints! I visited with my younger cousin on a Monday and he ordered the pork fajita, while I ordered the Texas nachos. Both orders were HUGE servings, but the pork fajita takes the cake. It was served on a mini charcoal grill, still burning and all. Additionally, we had an order of guacamole which was so fresh and good! The service was just a LITTLE slow considering there weren't that many patrons, but overall we enjoyed our visit.
We LOVE Zama! Every time we go there we get great food and most of the time great service. I usually stick to the same few things but because everything is tasty I have ventured out to try new things. The fish tacos are great! Enchiladas Verdes have so much flavor. We had the guacamole and it's made fresh and not bland at all. Even something as simple as the beans and rice are actually flavored instead as being presented as an afterthought. Oh, and the Mexican Street corn? Yes, please! So good! Go there! Even my friends who don't particularly like Mexican food go and eat there repeatedly. It's just the best!
We have been going to Zama since they opened in East Cobb. There have been some kitchen issues in the past, which have been rectified to our satisfaction, although we agree the chicken is far better than the ground beef. Exceptional service, and good value prevail. Wife loves their soup and fajitas, and I like their enchiladas, and we heartily recommend their lunch specials, too, especially their soup, two chicken tacos, and soft drink option for about $7.
Went for dinner on Father's Day. Tried to arrive early to beat the crowd - before 5p. I do Not recommend going out to eat until the covid unemployment insurance ends. The lack of staff really effects the experience. Service so slow. Just sit and wait and wait and wait. But that's not the reason for the 2 stars. Food not great. Not authentic Mexican at all. Sopas barely edible. Shrimp horrible. Beat part of this place is the margaritas. Can't say I recommend this place at all. I will not be back.
Cold take out. Seemed like fajitas were frozen. 2 bags of completely broken chips. Fish tacos inedible. Pretty bad.
