3.5 stars. Their brisket are very, very good but less salty will make it perfect. The downside is they don’t have Brunswick today for lunch for some reason. And also they put Mexican food sign at the side but they don’t really have Mexican food but bbq. And potato salad is not good but coleslaw is good. You don’t need to lie about the Mexican food, just keep the good quality of food and improve the bad parts and you will be successful.

We had low expectations coming to a BBQ restaurant in a small town in North GA, and boy was I wrong. I will be dreaming of our food for a long time. My husband ordered the ribs and I got the Brunswick stew. Now, I love Brunswick stew but I am very particular. Any and all restaurant that carries it, I’m trying it. When I say that this place holds top 5 of my favorites, I’m not kidding. The ribs had great flavor (smokiness) and very tender. But I ordered the Brunswick stew for dine in…. And to go. The service was great and so pleasurable. The food came out quickly and they were so accommodating for our two young kids. If you are in the area, please stop by. I love to see local places up and running in years to come and support GOOD local places.Kid-friendliness: Kid options and they are so nice to kiddos. They are truly the type of place “it takes a village”

Honestly I feel like most of the reviews come from people like us, who rode the train, got hungry and stopped at the first restaurant they saw.Service was quick so you could enjoy the stop and check out the other shops around the train station. The bbq is okay. It’s nothing to write home about. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the best food I’ve ever had either.

Of course all of this is a matter of opinion, but my husband and I both thought this place was just mediocore. The ribs had entirely too much sauce on them. It was like eating sauce and no meat. I really liked the potato salad because I like mine with a lot of mustard. The toast was good, but you can't really mess toast up, unless you burn it. The mac n cheese wasn't really good and the brunswick stew was mostly tomato juice and was too sweet. We were the only people in there except a few coming in for takeout orders. They do have a TV and had a football game playing. The server was friendly. It wasn't a waste of money, but we wouldn't go back. Again, only our opinions. Everyone's tastebuds are different.

I’m in the area because of the Blue Ridge Railway. State Line BBQ was less crowded than the other eateries nearby and I’m so glad that I came! It super close to the train entrance and the food was filling & delicious. I had the ribs with mac&cheese and potato salad. Teresa was awesome and made me feel welcomed! Since I’m on a time crunch, I was pleased that my food came out in a timely manner and I was able to enjoy it. I had a great experience here and definitely recommend it!

Fantastic food! We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket all were excellent and the side were too! The item that was most shocking were the tater tots. WOW! We had to order extra tater tots, because they were so good. Will definitely return. Can't wait to try ribs next time.
