The food was ok not bad I was skeptical because of a couple of the reviews the older lady at the counter let me try the Mac and cheese it was good. The salmon was tasty then second half was kind of fishy the place was pretty empty when I arrived but the staff was friendly…I would possibly try it again to see if other menu items may be better …

I have eaten here once. The food is really good. HOWEVER, every other time I have tried to support this Black Business on Sundays they have always been closed for some reason. At least 4 times. This time there’s a sign on the door that says “Closed due to a family emergency”. It seems very often they have an excuse for not being open during their stated hours.To the owners: If you really don’t wish to work on Sundays just say that and change your hours.

My first time ordering and everything was absolutely amazing!!! Excellent customer service as well!!!!UPDATE: Cut back on the salt with all the food. I'm finding that on various menu items that I order, you are using entirely too much salt. We want to get the food without getting high blood pressure. Perhaps a small suggestion would be to provide salt and pepper packets so people can add salt themselves. The customer service is still excellent! ?

Every time I come here the service is fantastic and the food is even better! This weekend I had the veggie plate with Mac and cheese, greens, yams and black eyed peas. My husband had the blackened salmon and grits. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection!

The yams and Mac and cheese were my faves. My husband had the blackened salmon and grits. The grits are not your average grits, but sooo much better! Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection!

Soul food to die for. Not sure about the other experiences but the cook put his whole foot in everything we had from meats to sides. The atmosphere and customer service only made it that much more worth it. If possible I would give them 10 starts. Gained 2 customers for sure!!!
OMG! They serve the best collards, cabbage and Mac & cheese ever!! And the owners are so very nice! We will definitely be coming back! I haven't tried everything they offer but I cannot imagine it being anything but delicious!

Where to start?! Great customer service and the food is even better! I had the grilled salmon and yams and greens while my wife had the fried chicken with the same sides. Best soul food in McDonough hands down.

What a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed a delicious takeout dinner at this restaurant. Tried the fried catfish and turkey wings. Sides selected were the collard/kale greens, cabbage, macaroni and cheese, and veggie rice. Everything was flavorful and very good. I look forward to trying some of the other menu items.

Second time I’ve come here and it’s closed. Hours posted are 11:30-8. It’s 3:20 on a Saturday; come on people get it together. If you aren’t going to honor your own posted hours…..why even have a restaurant? It’s a shame because they have really good catfish and a signature lemon pepper tartar sauce that’s really delicious.

As a DoorDash deliverer, we arrived here with the expectation to pick up an order for a customer. It clearly stated on google maps that they were open. But upon arrival. Both doors are locked , lights out, open signed turned off. Why do you have false hours of operation?That’s a good way to loose business.
