Being from up north, diners are a staple in a weekend meal whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It was shocking to see the lack of diners to eat at in the south when I moved here. I do often visit McDonough and the square as I live and work close by, and often driven or walked passed Kirby G’s and made the mental note of “i really wanna try here one day”, and i decided today was going to be that day.A 50’s themed diner with a warm welcome was already a great start to our dining experience. Our server, whose name has slipped my mind but started with a T was very humble and personable and went through the menu with my husband and I to make suggestions as this was our first time. We each ordered a burger (my husband ordered the award winning burger) and i ordered the breakfast at Tiffany’s burger (with the waffle buns). Absolutely delicious on both meals! My husband gave the burger a 9.5 out of 10 and highly suggest the dipping sauce!! The breakfast burger was a twist on a regular burger as the waffles added a necessary sweetness to the burger. The atmosphere and service alone were enough to make us come back, and the food was just an added bonus. Would love to try a dessert next visit, was just too full this first round!

We were so excited to finally make it to KG's after the revamping and the food was fantastic but we will NOT be returning because of the service (or lack there of), and waiting on our checks for 1/2 hour AFTER the table was cleared and my sister requested a beer that NEVER made it to our table, only for us to be told that it was never even entered as ordered. The servers were nice and all but there were literally 4 tables occupied with 3 servers and we still couldn't get things done as requested. It's sad that it turned out this way. If you love food but hate good service, come back but if you want food service too n don't come back

Soooo slow. It took over an hour for two burgers and a salad. The waiter never checked in with us and we were 1 of 2 groups in the entire place.

Was my favorite burger joint prior to covid. My first return since. Apparently it's not the same cook. Ordered medium burger but came out looking like a burnt biscuit. Informed server, nothing happened. You want to hire people that have never cooked before, you deserve to go out of business. I really wanted to give the cook a piece of my mind but I held my tongue. I just will never return. Why bother asking somebody how they want something cooked then serve them charcoal? I feel embarrassed for Kirby. $22.50 for the worst dry sawdust trash. Unacceptable. Wi-Fi was not working.

We were so excited that Kirby G's reopened and my husband wanted to go there for his birthday dinner for the Audrey's breakfast burger( now called the Tiffany's Breakfast burger). I ordered the black-n-blue burger. I asked it to be cooked medium and the response was "I'll try". Well much to our dismay both my husband's and my burger were both overcooked not just a little, a lot. I would say they were cooked medium well. The burgers were the size of a hockey puck so dry I could hardly swallow. My husband ordered a 2/3 pd burger and was given a 1/3 lb so it went back to the kitchen for the other patty, now that I am home I realized that they left the blue cheese off my burger and it just had a slice of cheese on it. Most disappointing. Cook needs a meat thermometer. The fries were excellent. No pickle slices either.

Kirby G’s is the best burger joint south of Atlanta. My wife, friends and I have been eating here for years. We love the staff and owner. The food is always delicious. We are so glad they finally re-opened after over a year of being closed for repairs. This a one-of-a-kind diner experience for Henry County. Coming from a major burger lover who has frequented Fuddruckers, Red Robin, and The Vortex over the years, I must confess Kirby G’s is right up there with these joints. Check it out if you get a chance.

The hamburgers were cooked to a crisp. So disappointing to take my family (8) to be so dissatisfied with our meals. Trust things will get better.

Dinner disaster! We were excited about going to Kirby G's because it had been closed for so long... upon walking in it has a strong smell of mold w/ a hint of paint, but we decided to stay. Staff was friendly and we ordered appetizers and then dinner. Appetizer came out quickly and was hot and fresh. We ordered our dinner which was two 1/3 burgers and a kids slider around 6:45-6:50.... 45 mins later were wondering why people that came in long after us are eating and we still have no meals.... The waitress Zoey comes to our table and said the system was down and she had just put our order in...(funny how everyone else's order had already came out, but ok) So we say ok. Then she come back and says the manager said he is doing 1/2 off for the inconvenience and assures us the food would be out quickly. So about 15-20 minutes later our food does come out and the food was good. Once we are done Zoey comes to bring the check and says.. oops sorry i misunderstood the manager he said only half off the appetizer.... at the point i was upset. so, I asked to speak to him... he did come over and as i start to explain what happened, he kind of cuts me off and says she misunderstood.... so i was like ok.. and with an attitude he looks at me and says... "what is it you want me to do?"... and i said.. what Zoey had said you were going to do, honestly waiting over an hour for food when you are not busy at all is unacceptable. so with a slight attitude he agrees and leaves...Zoey forgot to put our order in.. accidents happen, but don't be mad at us that we are unhappy and hangry by this point in time. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.

We've been in the past as my mother really likes the place. This trip however was a disappointment. New staff still learning I guess. We ordered the 2/3 lb burger thinking it would be bigger/thicker (juicier), but it was 2 well done dry 1/3 lb thick burgers stacked. So thick it was hard to eat. We had asked for Med Rare. Our appetizers showed up with the burgers.Took 10+ minutes to be delivered my beer.Based on past experiences, we will give them another opportunity.
