Bring $40 minimum- as you will need to order a full PAN of their Mac n Cheese!Their BBQ sauce is so good, I literally drank from the to-go container, with Beef Brisket in my mouth. This was my second visit, with plenty more to come.Get here EARLY before the meat runs out!Best BBQ spot in Alpharetta!

Went to this place for the first time today. The pulled pork was cold and flavorless. Vinegar-based BBQ sauce tasted like it has aged for 10 years. Very underwhelming. Don't see how this place will survive with rival BBQ spots opening around town.

If I could go into the negative stars for this reviews I would. My buddy and I ate right when they opened for the day at 11... smokers out front are obviously just for show. Never have a had stone cold food at a place that just opened for the day... pulled pork sandwich is a pretty forgivable meal so I ordered that... I wish I could have back the last 20 minutes of my life. Thought about pulling the trigger in the bathroom because wow this meal was TERRIBLE.

We hadn't been here in a while and decided to grab lunch there last week. Their food had been good in the past so we expected a good meal. Instead, we got about the worst BBQ I've had in quite some time. My beef brisket was cold and flavorless. It's as if the roast wasn't even smoked or seasoned, it just tasted like cold cooked meat. Brunswick Stew was like eating something out of a can. These guys are going to lose a lot of business if the new Spiced Right opening just up the street at Six Bridges Brewery is as good as its sister location in Roswell. We definitely needed some more BBQ options in Crabapple.

This is the best barbecue we've had in some time. The pork shoulder was moist, and tender, as was the brisket. We will definitely return for more.

My second time trying Grand Champion was very disappointing. I got pulled pork and Mac and cheese the first time - both were good. This past weekend I was going through Crabapple about 2:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon and had a hankering for ribs. I ordered a full rack of baby backs which cost me north of $23 to take home. When I got it home, I found it was almost inedible. It was hard as a rock and dried out, especially at the skinny end. The last few bones at the thicker end were 1/2 hard, 1/2 chewy, I threw most of it away. I assume it was leftover from Saturday, they took it from a warmer and removed it from plastic. I had them cut up the ribs, I would have hoped the guy that served it would have realized it was dried out and not served it. I'd love for this review to be great, but when I can get better ribs at Publix for less money, that says enough. It wasn't worth a 40 min round trip to bring them back - I would have sent them back if I ate in.

When I first walked in I was slightly skeptical, the place was empty and when asking questions 2 of the 3 employees seemed to know little to nothing about the place. We ordered a family mean, 1.5 pounds of meat, 2 sides and tea. The brisket was very good, the ribs were super tender and the chicken was just okay. Was not a big fan of the sauce, but personally I never really enjoy too much sauce. I would recommend this place to someone. And will go back

I have been looking for another bbq place to be my new go to. This may be the one. I ordered the brisket mac bowl. The mac and cheese was some of the best i have ever had. The brisket was supper tender and fatty. I also ordered ribs and potato salad. The best i have ever tasted. The ribs were fall of the bone and when dipped with the sauce it was just incredible.I highly recommend this place.

Today was my first visit. I walked in and told the guys working there that it was my first time. Instead of making suggestions or sharing favorites from the menu, he said “take your time looking at the menu.” And went back to his discussion with the other guy.So my first impression was poor. And then I looked at the prices which seemed high. For a family meal with 1.5 LBs of meat it came out to $52. But I had a hankering for BBQ and hoped it would be exceptional. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t great.Having made hundreds of pork butts and pulled them by hand, I found the pulled pork bland and with some chewy pieces that I would have discarded. Typically that white filmy fat is removed, but they left it on there - which I’m philosophically against. The pulled pork also lacked a smoky flavor, which is surprising and disappointing. The brisket is cooked nicely, very tender and can be cut with a fork. But again, no remarkable flavor, just very bland without any smoky taste. Where’s the pepper!? Where’s the smoke ring!?Their sides are nothing to write home about. The Mac and cheese is more buttery than creamy and the Brunswick stew options don’t excite me. (I won’t say if it was good or bad, since it’s just not my thing.)The best part of my order was the sauces, both the sweet and spicy were great. But I believe well BBQ’ed meats should not have to rely on sauce to be passable. In this case, the meat requires the sauce to be any good.Given the premium price they charge for C-meats and disappointing service, I don’t plan to return. In the future, I’ll go next door to the NY butcher shop for excellent pulled pork, brisket and Mac and cheese at a fair price. Or if I want a BBQ spot, I’ll drive a bit further to smoke jack or spiced right which are both outstanding.

I always liked GC but this was a big miss. Big enough I won't be back. Young lady taking my order was friendly and downhill from there. Ribs were dry and/or overcooked. I felt I was eating bad leftovers. Redneck lasagna was nearly ice cold. And the dude prepping my order was downright rude. Hard pass.

Coleslaw was a little plain, the barbecue brisket was tender and moist, banana pudding was great.

Brisket was so delicious, it almost convinced me that firing it up was healthy.

My visit to GC BBQ was great overall. The service was somewhat slow, and I had to repeat my order several times to the cashier, who still rang it up somewhat incorrect. The food was great though, with the Mac and Cheese being some of the best I’ve ever had. The BBQ pork was pretty good, but the sweet sauce was perfect. I recommend GC BBQ.

The meats are great but the sides are lacking. The coleslaw has been horribly over salted the last 2 times so completely inedible. The potato salad is way too sweet. Next time I will just order the meat to go. I've told them about the over salting before & they said it was by accident & never offered to reimburse. They need a lesson in customer service.
