I think it's because I'm from Tennessee and I just have a different flavor palette when it comes to food,I wouldn't say this is in my top places to eat. I could see being a regular if you lived around there and seeing folks from there, but I would find it hard to believe people would come far and wide to try this.I actually had to call my Dad to discuss the matter of how disappointed I was in the flavor, the service and just the whole experience.I'm giving three stars and being polite about how I feel because I was reminded not everybody knows how to cook GOOD BBQ and that other areas/states have different ways of eating things. With that being said I hope any of you reading this will not base your love of BBQ off this establishment and instead wait till you try some West Tennessee BBQ meat and homemade BBQ sauce. Your palette will have a whole other experience of flavor.Again, I think it's because of where I'm from that I wasn't the biggest fan. Even with that being said, I did support the business by buying a coffee mug and sticker.Don't dislike me too much, pictures in comments.I wish the business well.

I always get the Lewis Grizzard Special, I can't help it. The right combination, sandwich, onion rings and Brunswick stew. Good as always. Oh, got to have the sweet tea, too.

Clean and good customer service. Food was horrible. Onion rings were so greasy I could have used the excess oil in my SUV. Tasteless BBQ sandwich and under cooked fries. Yuck. One and done for us.

Good BBQ and the sauce that comes along with it reminds me of where I would eat in NC.

The food was great and the service took some time but they were really busy! The bbq sauce is vinegar based and good with the onion rings!

It's a classic so I felt like we had to go back but the food isn't as good as it used to be and our server seemed really distracted.

The biggest red flag is you don't smell BBQ cooking from the parking lot or inside the restaurant. Since I was hesitant to taste the BBQ, I got a hamburger, Brunswick stew and two sides. Everything had ZERO flavor. I didn't finish the hamburger because it didn't taste like fresh beef. The fries were unseasoned steak fries. The onion rings tasted halfway decent but nothing to brag about. The Brunswick Stew looked like mush and had zero flavor. The cobbler of the day (apple) was delicious, which is sad because it's a BBQ joint, not a dessert shop. The food isn't worth the price and the restaurant isn't worth the hype.

Strawberries reminded me of somewhere I have been in the 50s or 60s. Very cool atmosphere friendly service. My wife and I both had pork sandwiches that were great. The sauce was kind of spicy it was a vinegar sauce I had fries and onion rings that were both really good, we had to take her order to go but would’ve liked to sat in the dining room and seem very cool. They also have a ice cream bar available. Will definitely go back if we were in the area.

There’s a worker in there named Raymond, he got my order completely wrong, and on top of that I saw him scratch his nose and sneeze and handle my food without washing his hands. Absolutely rude and disgusting!!!

Me and my friend went there and our server was this dude named Raymond and he was not very nice. He got my friend’s order wrong and she says he sneezed in her food and didn’t wash his hands.

when i arrived to order my barbecue, i was starving and ready to eat. i was met by a man named Raymond and he gave me the nastiest look and spit in my face while taking my order.. i explained “excuse me?!” and he proceeded to use profanity and call me slurs. when i received my food there was a large pile of what i thought was mayonnaise, on the side of my plate. i thought it was odd because i did not order it than i suddenly realized it was the young mans sperm!!!?!! also when i walked in a sworm of cockroaches surrounded this vulgar looking young man.

My server was a young man named Raymond I believe. I have been here before and the service was good and so was the food! But this young man completely ignored me and was rude!! He didn’t have any hygiene at all and he he didn’t seem to care about his job! I recommend the food, but staff needs to be changed!
