So, my wife suggested we try this place and she has been here plenty, but it was my first time. Pull into the parking lot and it's very clean for an established location and area. You can already tell they pride themselves on their product from the outside. Get inside, and it's nothing fancy but you feel a genuine hometown welcome. Very nice staff from start to finish and quick for cook to order service. I ordered the Fish Boat meal and she ordered the Shrimp Boat meal. Amazing fresh food and seems you get much more for less cost than a chain such as Captain D's. Prices are fair value too. But let me brag on their Hush puppies. I don't know if it's a quirk or they are always that good, but I would have made a meal out of the hush puppies. We will definitely be back often and I will update my review too. Oh yeah, I am considering adding Ultraviolet inspections to some of my reviews too. That's cleanliness in high traffic areas where you contact surfaces often. I will say, this location passed my check on this visit and that is reassuring they keep it as clean as possible for an established location.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to get inside and traditional restroom set up for one guest at a time.

I ordered online a day that they were closed. And the order when through..as if they were open.. (In which that was my fault, I should have paid attention). I have called and let them know, the order when through and took the money out of my account. They have not called me back nor refund my money. I will never go again. DON’T ORDER ONLINE !!

The new owners tried I guess but it isn’t nothing like the original owner! Good isn’t all the best! The atmosphere is different! Burgers were under cooked even after being tiled well done while ordering, and whatever seasoning or sauce is used for the burgers it makes them sweet/burnt tasting! Last time dining here!

If your expecting the old great tasting shrimp boat you will be greatly disappointed. I gave it a two star because the tea was good and also the hushpuppies. The rest of the food was straight trash, and that's exactly we're it went. The whole catfish used to be my go to meal, now I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy. Capt.Ds has better shrimp.... and since when does green beans tast like chili. Way over priced even though they gave me extra food.... that also went in the trash.

The portions are enough for 2. The chicken is battered just right.Light, crunchy & very well seasoned. Onion rings are delicious ? the fish & shrimp are cooked just right..well done & again seasoned just right. I really don't think you could find a great place to eat than Shrimp boat!

We had our Mom's 83rd Birthday here with over 20 people and everyone was extremely happy and satisfied with the food and friendly service! We will definitely eat here again.
Man! They normally be on point. But tonight I ordered at 7:15 pm, they close at 8 pm. Whole catfish dinner extra crispy. Well! Needless to say, when I went thru the pickup window I had 2 pieces of soggy fish and about 7 fries. And when I complained that it was not crispy, they just put everything back in the grease, which just made everything greasy! Just lost a customer guys! Smh

We have been eating at The Shrimp Boat for 20 years+. Firstly, and this is "new", as the counterperson is completing your order, the register screen is turned around to allow (force) you to add a tip. At a counter service place? While the person is standing there looking at you? I do not mind tipping--not just in your face? This alone will keep me from ever returning. The food here used to be very good. Food always cooked when ordered. They are allowing the fish to remain thawed out so long that it begins to get a "fishy" taste. This is also a recent development. Unsatisfactory! Best of luck to The Shrimp Boat.
