The best Mexican food around. I found the most delicious "carnitas" anywhere. All their plates are nice with delicious food and non-greasy. This is one of those places where you don't judge a book by its cover. Looks like they are giving the building a face-lift, but if you want authentic Mexican food, THIS IS THE PLACE!!

What a great find for Tex Mex food! Chips were warm and fresh. All food came out hot and fresh. Nothing was too spicy. Large portions so had enough to take home. There's also a full bar. Smaller and cozy place. Not real noisy at noon on a Thursday. Waitress and manager very friendly. I'd say pricing is around $10 to $11 for lunch. They have a nice lunch menu.Parking: Parking is to the left of the restaurant.

The food is pretty good The people are really nice the service is quick and it's pretty cool inside. Reminds me of some of the restaurants I hate in when way down in Mexico close to Guaymas and San Carlos. Not your typical Tex-Mex food more authentic Mexican taste.

This is an exceptional restaurant to go too. I frequently come here and the food blows me away. Always cooked to perfection, and at a great price. The staff truly treats you as if they're appreciative of you being there. Service is outstanding, and over all an amazing place to go to. I'd recommend it for any person.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in town. The food is phenomenal and the service is the best in town. If you don't like something, they'll redo it. If you want something off menu, they'll do their best to make it for you. The owner is from Mexico and is one of the sweetest women I've ever known. Give it a try, you won't regret it!!

Customer service and the food were absolutely the best in town!! I've driven past this restaurant for years and for some reason I always thought it was a bar. Finally went in for dinner and it was GREAT!!

I'm going to be generous here and give 3 stars because we've ordered take out many times and up until our last order we've never had issues. We haven't been here in a while and our last order just wasn't up to par. The spinach dip is literally just (what appears to be canned) spinach and cheese dip. There are no tomato, onion, seasoning, nothing. Just the spinach and the cheese. We also got chunky guacamole and I'm perplexed at how it had barely any taste. I don't even know how that's possible. We added our own seasoning and got it to where it was edible but what in the world? That's never happened anywhere I've ever been and it's something we eat at numerous places. The salsa was ok. My husband wasn't impressed by the taco salad and said it lacked flavor as well. On top of all that, we ordered 3 different dips and weren't given enough chips for three dips. When we asked for more we had to pay for extra. Usually I would understand but there should be at least a bag per dip, I would think. That's the way most places do it. You get chips with your dip. Unfortunately we probably won't be back. I wonder if it changed owners or they changed a produce supplier? Something definitely seems different and just not very good anymore.

Moved to Chattanooga from Atlanta 2 years ago. Had a hard time finding a Mexican restaurant I liked until La FamilIa. They're right up there with Jalisco, my favorite Atlanta restaurant. They just added a Mexican version of a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. You gotta try it!

My husband and I tried this place because of some good reviews. This place is proof positive that reviews don’t mean everything. First of all, it was in a rather seedy section of town. Was difficult to find parking and had to park on side of street. Then when I got out of the car I looked down and there was an open pocketknife lying on the sidewalk. This should have been an indication that things weren’t going to go well. We got inside and the atmosphere of the whole place is rather gloomy and seedy. We tried to overlook that, because of the reviews on the food. We got chips and salsa first, which were average at best. I’ve had way better at other places. Then we ordered our food. My husband got a chicken chimichanga with rice and beans. I ordered an enchilada with rice and beans. Even though there were only about four customers there it took over 20 minutes to get our food. My husband said the chicken in his chimichanga had no flavor. My enchilada had a slightly odd taste to it but I chalked it up to maybe my tastebuds being off that night. The beans were watery and the rice was sticky and had no flavor. Was the worst Mexican food I had eaten in awhile. To top things off… later that night I started to get sick and now have full blown food poisoning. I have never had food poisoning before…until now. We will not return to this place and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else. I do not understand how they get good reviews, because the food is not good. There are better places to go. Would have given them O stars if I could have.
