Was excited to try! was rudely turned away before entering due to early closing? Really unsure why I was turned away. It was short, rude, and hostile. Salvatore should not be in the hospitality industry. Not only was he rude he kinda talked down to me as a women. Food might be rated well, but that shouldn’t compromise respect. This is my first review bad review ever. Hope that gets the point across.

Authentic Italian restaurant in Roswell GA!I visited this restaurant because my friend recommended.I ordered VITELLO PIZZAIOLA & RIGATONI LORENZO & chocolate chip crème brûléeDefinitely recommend veal over chicken and try their authentic homemade dessert!I enjoyed how it was not too salty & not too creamy. It was light and healthy tasting yet flavorful. Since it was my first time, I asked my server for recommendations and he said “everything”.. I asked for dessert recommendations and he said I dont do recommendations.I wish my server was little bit more friendly and explain things so that I could have pleasant experience. There is not a lot of picture on yelp or google review. It is definitely not americanized Italian food so I enjoyed it but wish the service was better.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Roswell. Great service and food just like my Italian grandmother would make. Phenomenal!

This place is a hidden gem! Seemed like a family operated business. No reservations, but only had to wait 10 minutes on a Friday night at 7pm. The bartender was efficient and got to you when he could, was very European (very direct) I did not mind it at all. I actually felt like I was in Europe. The food was phenomenal. We had a little bit of everything at our table and shared. Just wow. Definitely try this place out.

Had dinner last night. Our waiter was excellent and attentive. Very nice wine selection. We had the calamari and mozzarella en carozza were very tasty. My wife and my friends wife had the grouper which came with a side dish. My wife had penne with oil and garlic which was the best we’ve ever had in the many Italian restaurants we’ve eaten at . I had the veal piccata (4) slices you could cut with a fork. My friend had a veal dish which was also excellent. Also had deserts from an extensive menu which was the icing on a WONDERFUL experience. Highly recommend and will return on many occasions.

I have always been on the lookout for a fine Italian restaurant. I have been to Amalfi in Roswell several times. Each time is always better than the last. Each time I tried something different. All is I can say is it’s outstanding. I come from my family of outstanding Italian cooks. I have tried many locations around town, and they are all just OK. But I will tell you, Amalfi is pure, legitimate Italian food.

We ordered fried mozzarella and they literally made a mozzarella sandwich with wonderbread and through it into a deep fryer. The shrimp scampi tasted like a dirty gym sock filled with sardines!

Sharing so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. My husband and I called to ask what the wait time was. We were told it would be no time for a high top or to sit at the bar. We get to the restaurant and ask if we may sit at the bar since the high tops look taken and are told “yes please be our guest.” I ask the bartender if he can make anything mocktail without alcohol (aka I don’t drink but am fully ready to pay for something nonalcoholic). I’m told juice and soft drinks. It’s really not that hard to make virgin drinks but sure I let it slide and just say water. Then I’m told my spot at the bar is not capable of being served food and I’ll have to wait till someone else leaves so we can move over. People to my left and right at the bar had food so clearly he just didn’t want to serve a non alcohol buying patron. Be that my husband and I were celebrating something very special to us, that really ruined our night. The poorest service we’ve ever had.

It being my first time there, the host was really informative and attentive to my needs. The atmosphere was really fancy and I enjoyed every little detail all the way down to the candle on the table. The food was really delightful. If it is quite pricey, but it is really good. We decided to have dinner around 630 and towards that time I understand it gets really busy so be prepared to sit there for a bit until you get the bill.

If I could give this negative stars, I would. I NEVER write bad reviews. But this experience was one of a kind. We have eaten here several times before and the food is good. Tonight we sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited on our table. I have never had a more rude bar tender. First, we were sitting right next to where he was preparing drinks so I know he saw us, but he continued to ignored us and then finally plopped a wine list on the counter and walked away. When he came back I asked if he had a cocktail menu. He said nothing, didn't even look at me. Just gestured to the wall of liquor bottles and walked away. I get it, it's Saturday night and it's busy. So I looked up a cocktail that I wanted and when he finally came back I asked for a French 75. He said no. At first, I thought he meant he didn't know how to make it, so I showed him and then he said, no I don't have time and walked away. At that point I was furious. I asked for a menu and he had none. I am not drinking straight liquor and I can't read his mind to know what he can or will make. We left. Then as we were calling our Uber he must have realized that he was a jerk and tracked us down at the hostess stand to see if we wanted to order a drink. Really? No, we are leaving. If this is how Amalfi treats customers, I will go somewhere else. Amalfi, do better.
