We have been trying everyday for two weeks to get to this restaurant and it’s never open. No message when you call the establishment, no updates on the website.Edit: removed one star rating, establishment is closed and we never got to eat here. We’ve heard great things in the community about when they were open!

Absolutely horrible experience. Came for mother’s day, waited an hour for cold eggs, crab that went bad, no liquor selling at a TAVERN, and the older server woman almost hit my mother in the face with a plate and did not apologize, instead looked at us like we were crazy. Nothing was taken off the bill, manager was not even there and no one was even in the building!DO NOT COME HERE unless you want food poisoning!! Worst experience we’ve had in awhile, mother’s day ruined!

We used to like the food and good wines at this restaurant a lot. Mother’s Day brunch was a disaster though. We had three different servers, apologetic and nice but they somehow seemed to manage a mismanaged restaurant what took a huge toll on the service. Waited forever for the food and when it came out, no syrup in the house for the chicken and waffles, the steak meals were low quality meat and overcooked, the side of fries was greasy and salty - once we received it way after the steak and egg. We had to go inside twice to locate someone to bring the check long after we finished eating. They lost the liquor license (temporarily it says?) what can happen to a business, but looking at the overall picture including the unkept restroom with a broken toilet, we will sadly not be back.

I love Big Oak Tavern and I will be back soon! The day I went I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese and it was delicious. I am a big seafood and Mac and cheese lover so the two went together perfectly. The service was great and it was not crowded the day I went. I also had the Spinach and Artichoke dip and it was so good I didn't even manage to get a picture of it. I definitely recommend trying this Roswell restaurant.

First time here but will definitely be back. We ordered off of the Happy Hour menu and I had the best buffalo cauliflower, I have ever had and not too spicy. The Big Oak wings were really good too. The staff and bartender were beyond amazing!!! Next time I will try something off of the dinner menu and the future next time, I will hopefully have enough room for dessert.

Went for dinner, drinks and live music last weekend and they lost their liquor license. Our server said bc the owner did something shady but didn’t give details. Sad to see such a nice spot going downhill. We will not be back.

Great food and solid atmosphere. A little pricey but you get what you pay for! Nice for both lunch and dinner.

I really wish they would GAF about the food and standard service. The menu looks good but do NOT get the ribs. They are not babyback, they're just greasy burnt ends without the burnt part. Not only is the food kinda gross, but the way didn't even include the coleslaw side that comes with the dish. It's standard on the menu and they ignored it. Absolutely NOBODY was in the restaurant so I know they weren't in a rush, they just didn't include it. I'll probably give 'em another chance sometime but the ribs are awful.

There will be added to the list of no returns. The place on the outside looks raggedy, but the inside is quaint. We ordered the ribeye and lobster, with an empty restaurant they were out of the ribeye. So we replaced it with the filet. The lobster came out smelling horrible, as it was definitely old. The filet didn't have a speck of seasoning salt nor pepper. Also, the chicken pasta came out cold. The margarita was pretty good. The server was pleasant and she provided good service. The kitchen ruined this one for us.

First time visiting this establishment. Enjoyed myself. Started with the smoked Salmon Dip. Definitely taste the smoke in the dip with the pita chips?????. Grilled Ribeye Pork Chops you could cut with a spoon. SUPER TENDER AND FLAVORFUL!! The wife had the signature Big Tavern Burger. LAWRD HAVE MERCY!!! Only sampled a small piece of hers and wanted one for myself!! YES!!! That damn good!!The vibe was great. They had live music on the front patio. A dj inside and the music wasn't blasting, so you could still have a conversation with your party. I'm going back to enjoy the menu soon.
