VIN25 is a hidden gem off Plum St in downtown Historic Roswell. The seasonal cocktails are extraordinary. Chef Tony has created an amazing menu with explosive flavors! This visit we started with Toast, Duck Rangoon, & Scallops and Clams. Each one had a unique flavor, HIGHLY recommend the Scallops & Clams! For entrees, we feasted on Sixty South Salmon (YUM!) and Crispy Pork Shoulder (to die for!) Dessert was indescribably delectable! A board of house made stuffed ice cream cookie and the most delicious bread pudding with a side of delicate hazelnut pudding like scrumptiousness. We sat outside where we were warm under the heaters and enjoyed the live music. Service is exceptional and top notch. You'll want to enjoy this quaint spot by the fire pit, inside, or on the patio, year round!

Think about walking down a French country lane - pretty rustic homes, leafy trees and you come across some restaurants - neighborhood places.....yes indeed Plum Avenue in Roswell - one block over from bustling Canton street is a pretty decent re-creation of this. Vin 25 feels very European, a cottage setting, a beautiful outdoor patio area with seating, fireplaces....on this night it was way too cold so we went inside (and forgetting that we were sitting by the door and when it opened, it was pretty rough - we had a lovely experience. It's a busy spot - a large bar that goes across one end of the room - that seems to be the place to hang out - and many locals were doing just that. And then a couple large tables in the middle and smaller tables around. We were seated quickly and greeted warmly. Drinks - Expert - Old Fashioned and some nice Gin/St Germain concoction were really nice. Decent wine by the glass list and I think they sell bottles (can you bring your own? Not sure).....Bartenders are busy, friendly and kow what they are doing. Food - Small menu but they execute it really well. We started with Hummus and then Scallops and Clams on bread. OK - for people watching their carbs, this was tough - but man- whatever rustic French bread they do - holy cow it's good. Hummus was nice and light and clams and scallops I just wanted to drink the sauce..... We split and apple and spinach salad - I can't stand spinach but it was really good - well dressed (not heavy) and the bunch of stuff they put in it was flavorful We opted for the Trout special - it was very well done - nice flaky spiced right....and the crispy pork shoulder. It was just that - crispy and loaded with flavor. The apple hash was almost great - the onions and apples were heavenly but the sweet potatoes were crispy raw.....the only ding on the evening. Service was great- our server (Josh) was a great mix of friendly, efficient, hands off, but never far, and good recommendations.....the owners (I think they were) were very present, smiling, helping, and made it feel well-tended. This is a new favorite. Service was nice - Josh our server paced it we

Came in last night around 8:30 for coffee and a couple of your amazing desserts. We were promptly sat and greeted. We were informed that you didn't serve coffee, but that there was espresso if that would suffice. Kind of baffling, but fine. After ordering our favorite, the peanut butter cup, and the recommended choice, the bread pudding, we sat for 25 minutes with nothing delivered. When our server finally came by we asked about our desserts. She then brought one and apologized saying she'd forgotten and it was on the house. We asked where the other was and she confusedly said hold on, and went to get that one. She returned and said that too was on the house. So, she dropped the ball on 100% of our food and we had to make due with espresso because she didn't want to brew coffee. Although our bill was relatively small due to her comps, this visit was a complete fail top to bottom. Sad. We usually enjoy quiet visits to your cozy restaurant, but after this one we will probably consider somewhere else next time. No manager ever came by to quality check us or apologize for our server blowing us off and forgetting to ring in 100% of our food

spent. We were trying to explain ourselves but she kept cutting us off and talking very rudely to us. We told her we didn't want Ethan to get in trouble for this issue and she said he won't, even though I just watched her right in front of us get onto him about the situation. After we left we were all standing outside talking to one another and she came out and gave us a card for the GM's number. She asked if we've been there before, which we told her that many of us have, and then we asked for her name and she gave it to us with a petty attitude. "It's Christy, C-h-r-i-s-t-y" and then walked off. Overall, Christy needs to learn some manners and how to speak to people. I have worked in the food service industry as a server/manager for many years and know this is not how you treat your customers or even people in general. Ethan was fantastic though and if you come here you need to ask for him. He kept checking in on us and was super sweet. Ethan, I'm sorry you got chewed out by Christy.

If you're looking for superb cuisine, not pretentious, but carefully constructed, aromatic, well presented, and meticulously cooked to specifications... then look no further than Vin 25. A quaint location, with outside music, and bustling vibe inside, Vin 25, at least for me, ticked all the boxes to celebrate my birthday and our guests, one who was also celebrating his birthday. There are many choices in Roswell to dine, but I recommend Vin 25 purely for their food and ambiance. Being a chef and a culinary instructor, I have no faults to share about their food. If you're on a romantic date, and it's not 100f outside, I'd suggest dining outside. On our dining evening, for me, I preferred the cool A/C inside... Let's talk about service. Of course, if something were to go wrong, it will. How Vin 25 recovered, well, perhaps they could have done a little better. Our server, I could not tell if he was a relatively new server, or just didn't know how to open a bottle of wine. We ordered a bottle of the Auctioneer Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (2019). For me, vintage and terroir is everything. For others who read this, maybe not. More importantly, my advice to Vin 25 Ownership, find a local Sommelier to come in and train your servers on the art of wine service. As soon as our server began to remove the cork, I knew we were in trouble. The result was... he broke the cork. I discretely offered to remove the rest of the cork, which I did. He did not seem overly interested in this process, nor did he show appreciation that I removed it, and possibly saved him from a chewing out from his manager later in service. The food was excellent, as I said before... three of us ordered the salmon. I like mine medium rare, and it was perfect. My guests dishes, as far as could tell was also perfect. The salmon was sitting atop a deliciously prepared edamame risotto. In top of the salmon was a fried wonton and a sprinkling of snow crab surimi, which is not snow crab at all (as we know)... usually it's minced up Pollock... but it was a nice garnish. I also recommend the white bean hummus with roasted garlic, feta, and basil oil. The menu stated that this appetizer has preserved lemons. If there was preserved lemons, I did not taste them in the hummus. We also had the Pimento Cheese Fritters with red pepper chili jam. Sweet and salty. Love it. I'd return to Vin 25, and hopefully the servers, by then, are well-trained in the art of wine service.
