We looked for a sushi spot in St. Simon’s Island to go to on our day trip, and landed on Tara’s. I’m not the biggest sushi fan, but I LOVE Thai food, so this was the perfect spot for us. My partner and son got sushi, which they said was really good. I got the drunken noodles, and our 5 year old got chicken and rice. I should point out that they do not have a kids menu, so we had to order a regular portion of rice, and then bring the rest home. Totally fine with me, because I was the one who got to eat it the next day ? The drunken noodles were amazing, as well as the rice that I tried the next day. I was too hungry to take a photo of our cream cheese wonton appetizer, but it was some of the best wontons I’ve had.Our server was great as well and memorized our large order without writing it down! Highly recommend!**Sushi pictured is Tempura Shrimp, Sakura, 911, and Broken Heart.Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly, no kids menu to order from.

Great local spot to get some good Thai food. Warming Massaman curry with adjustable heat level and served with rice. Thai fried rice is crave-able and delicious. Also ordered cream cheese rangoons which were good but may try another app next time. Quick and kind service. Plenty of parking.

For some reason when I travel I don't have good luck ordering Pad See Ew. It was ok, just not that warm comfort food taste. Noodles were a bit dry and clumped together. Also I didn't realize that you can't order spice level when ordering online. I'll probably try a curry next time.

Super tasty food here. Always tastes fresh. The Volcano Chicken is one of our favorites to get. As a sushi fan myself, I tried the Broken Heart Roll today and it was incredible. Would certainly recommend!

Great local spot for Thai and sushi! Service was great but the weather was kind of lousy so not very busy tonight. We had the hot and sour lemongrass soup, spring rolls, Drunken Noodles, tuna tataki, and tuna roll. All were served quickly and were very good!

As a Thai person I can assure you that this restaurant makes authentic Thai food that tastes almost the exact same as home. I had the pad see eiw and the pad Thai and it was so good! The owners of this restaurant are also Thai as well and are very nice. I recommend this restaurant for those of you that want the taste of authentic Thai dishes! ☺️☺️☺️

Everything I've eaten here was fantastic. The service has always been on point also.I would recommend the Thai fried rice or the Broken Heart roll. The outside building is far from perfect but the interior atmosphere is well above average. Worth a try. Though there are predictably busy times where delays can be expected, still worth the wait.

Tara Thai and Sushi offers a delightful dining experience that caters well to both Thai cuisine aficionados and sushi enthusiasts. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Pad Thai, which was exceptionally good. The flavors were balanced perfectly, providing a harmonious blend of sweetness, tang, and savory notes, typical of authentic Thai cuisine. The noodles were cooked to the right consistency, and the dish was garnished thoughtfully, enhancing both its appearance and taste. My date opted for the Salmon Lovers Sushi Combo, a choice that proved to be equally impressive. The sushi was fresh, skillfully prepared, and presented beautifully. Each piece was a testament to the chef's attention to detail and understanding of traditional sushi preparation. The salmon was tender and flavorful, indicating high-quality ingredients and freshness. The atmosphere of Tara Thai and Sushi added to the overall dining experience. The decor struck a balance between elegance and comfort, creating a welcoming environment that complemented the meal. It was evident that attention had been paid to creating an ambiance that matched the quality of the food.In conclusion, Tara Thai and Sushi is a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch Thai and sushi offerings. Both the Pad Thai and the Salmon Lovers Sushi Combo were remarkable in flavor and presentation. The pleasant atmosphere further elevates the dining experience, making it suitable for both casual and special occasions. Highly recommended for a memorable culinary journey.
