Came here with the family while visiting from Houston. We ordered brown stew chicken, curry chicken, the snapper and oxtail and also tried their house lemonade. Everything was amazing. My husband said it was the best oxtail he has ever had. Snapper was also awesome. I asked for extra spicy and it had the perfect balance of heat and flavor. Kiddos were quiet for once which is a sign of great food. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were a good size. They use quality ingredients ? and you can taste the difference. The owner was really sweet and hospitable. We will be back for sure.

Anybody who has been to either of the two Scotchies restaurants in Jamaica will know that owner Kevin comes from a good culinary pedigree. It definitely shows in the love, care and pride he puts into his food. This was my first visit but certainly won't be my last ?.

I went to the food trunk for oxtails, I was so excited after seeing the great reviews. The man tried to charge me $57 for an oxtail plate. He knew that was an extremely high price because he tried to get me to taste the plate before I paid, glad I didn’t. I told him I wasn’t paying that amount for no oxtails and didn’t either turned around and walked away. I have had oxtails so many places but never have oxtails been that high. Negil village is a restaurant with bomb oxtails and they are cheaper than this place that’s just a food truck.

Don't come there unless you call he's remodeling and has not advertised that I drove all the way from Brookhaven. Don't waste your miles

This was my second visit to scotchies, and the food was delicious ! The first time, I had the garlic shrimp, and it was well prepared and absolutely amazing. This time, I tried the curry shrimp, and once again, the chef did not disappoint! If you are in the area, definitely check them out! You won't regret it.

I came here for the first time on Saturday because I heard the food was good. I was able to catch him at the food truck across the street. I ordered jerk chicken and jerk ribs. Since the fish and oxtails were either “sold out” or “didn’t have”. The food I had was either old or re-heated because it was disgusting! Just disgusting! I don’t eat leftover food at all for the simple fact I don’t like the taste of food after it’s been in the refrigerator and then warmed up. The “jerk” sauce is flavorful but not worth it on old/reheated food. I paid $69 in total just to come home, taste my food and throw it in the trash because it was just that disgusting. The ribs were not fall of the bone goodness. It was hard, chewy and old/ reheated. My daughter took one bite out of the chicken and told me she no longer had an appetite. The chicken was also either old or reheated and besides the yellow jerk sauce that soaked the plates the chicken wasn’t even seasoned. I am thinking the jerk sauce that was layered on top was to cover up the fact that the food was old and unseasoned. I am highly disappointed because I know for a fact that I passed up going to a place where i could have spent less and had some really amazing food but instead I tried to explore what someone else considers real Jamaican food and was completely and utterly disappointed. I will never come back to this place… ever! Im really pissed that i ordered food for $69 to eat 1/2 rib and 2 bites from the chicken to throw both plates away… oh yeah who puts butter beans in cabbage???? Yeah I’m good-thank you but NO.

The best Caribbean food in Atlanta hands down! Jerk ribs go crazy and truffle Mac feels like No other I’ve ever had big ups to chef!

During a trip to Atlanta I craved Caribbean food and decided to give Scotchies a try. Upon arrival, the restaurant was closed for renovations however, the food truck was open in the parking lot obliquely opposite the restaurant. The food was good and authentic, however, it was a bit pricey. The owner was pleasant and engaging.
