We arrived on time for our reservation and were promptly seated. Even though the place was packed, our food orders were processed very quickly. It was a pleasant experience for a first time visit.

We've visiting this location on multiple occassions for birthdays, evenings out, afternoon lunches and ordered takeout over the past few years. Food was consistently great, service was good etc. However, on May 20th my family visited to celebrate my son's 20th birthday lunch and had a horrible experience. The location was not very busy so we expected the same great food and service that we experienced in the past. That didn't happen. After being seated and placing our order, our biscuits were finally delivered but we had to look for and ask the hostess to find our server in order to get our initial drink order. It took more than 40 minutes for our food to be delivered to our table and we had to again ask the hostess to get our server again to check on the status of our food. We didn't order any elaborate that should've taken an extra long time to prepare. When the food finally came to our table, some dishes were warm and other items were just cold as if they'd just been sitting. The shrimp and grits were delivered in a bowl swimming in oil. Honey siracha chicken and waffles was luke warm, the chicken and mac/cheese was ice cold. The only thing hot was the dark fried chicken plate ordered. It was incredibly disappointing. We were on a birthday schedule and lunch was one stop so we couldn't stay to have items remade after waiting so long for it to be delivered. We followed-up on May 21st and spoke with a manager the following day and confirmed a resolution. However, that has yet to be completed as of 5/26 when we followed-up again on 5/25 we were informed that the location closed on 5/23relocating to Gainesville, GA, in 2024. We are still awaiting resolution of our issue and followup from General Management.

Food was great. Service was good, but it was a while before we were served the appetizer after ordering and the restaurant was not busy, so we weren't clear as to why. Overall a good experience.

Awesome service by the team! They have a solid happy hour with lots of options, plus we had our kids with us on the outside patio. My son said “best dinner ever” so we will be back soon!

Date with my daughters after their piano recital at a nearby church. No wait time. Easy reservation. The shrimp and grits was tasty. It could have been served with a buttery toast or something to complete the plate. I definitely could have done without the lemon in the bowl. More grits!!! The avocado toast with egg on the side was on point. But it never fails. However, two full pieces of toast makes more sense to me. The blueberry lavender drink was refreshing. Our waitress was nice and friendly. The host and hostess were sweet. I would likely visit again. Today, however, the overall value didn't align for me. I definitely feel like I could have gotten more for $93 (includes 20% tip).

How can you miss this 'upbeat, energetic' neighborhood spot? Tupelo Honey never disappoints. My guest and I both enjoyed the chicken & waffles...and they did it our way! The energy was high at around 11 AM on a Saturday, and as we left - walk-ins had a bit of a wait. Our server was excellent, and got the order right the first time! Loved the attentive attitude without being intrusive. Applause to Marisa! You helped Tupelo shine!

The food was prepared with perfection. The appearance made it very appealing. I had the Sriracha chicken and waffles. The chicken was nice and tender. It wasn't dry and the waffles were fluffy. This is great comfort food.

some of the best chicken & waffles i've ever had ??? low key spot (had saturday reservations but it wasn't packed like usual spots), friendly staff, reasonable prices, drinks were delicious also. a hidden gem, i recommend this spot & will be back ?

Hosted a monthly Culinary Club here. We dine in new (to us) restaurants monthly. I had looked forward to eating here as I love to try different iterations of fried chicken. The fried chicken was good. Side portions such as collard greens seemed small however, they were tasty. Good cocktails and nice to see Uncle Nearest alcohol on the menu with proceeds for those drinks going to HBCUs. Only moderate complaint, server seemed 'short' with our group. Restaurant was not full, however, I will be considerate that maybe they were short staffed. But, she barely hung around for folk to give drink orders or even ask if we wanted appetizers as guests arrived. Very non-chalant. We had to call to her repeatedly for service. At any rate, food was good. Will go back maybe to try their brunch. And I will recommend for others to try.

Food was excellent, restaurant was empty completely empty. I arrived 10 minutes early for a 7pm reservation and there we 3 parties on the patio and no one inside. I guess maybe more of a lunch place in that area.

We visited for Easter. Everyone enjoyed their food. One thing that should be stressed is the Sriracha Honey Chicken is extremely hot. I had to send it back on a previous visit. Another individual in our party experienced the same thing on our most recent visit. The menu should state that it really hot and the servers should emphasize it.

Kinda disappointed with Tupelo Honey. Third time here and it appears to be in need of new management. It was a Friday at 6:30 and they're out of dark chicken meat. The server was nice but obviously new to her job. We waited a long time for everything. The bill ended up being wrong -twice. Sigh.

I really enjoy the food here. I went here on a date with someone and I think he really enjoyed his shrimp and grits. I enjoyed my plate as well. The Gouda grits are so amazing. The only thing I wish is that the portion size was more I ended up leaving there going across the street to Popeyes to get me a shrimp basket because I was still hungry so I'm sure my friend did the same thing But besides the portion size, the food is really good and the drinks are delicious. I would definitely come back here, but I'll make sure that I pre-eat before I come.

Sunday Brunch! The disappointment was that some dishes were not available. Our reservations were at noon so to be out of the meatloaf and skillet pork was a disappointment. The server was not aware so we placed our orders and then had to regroup. We ordered every appetizer on the menu and the favorite was the brussel sprouts. The biscuit was good with the jam/butter combo. The pimento cheese dip and friend pickles did not disappoint. They have Uncle Nearest and the Old Fashions were excellent. Great job with the balance. We ordered Chicken Egg Bennie and it was good. The chicken and waffles, smothered chicken with gravy was well prepared. Chicken was good very well. The best part was the noise level! Ambiance for good conversation!

Surprised by how small the menu was for brunch. There are no pancakes/French toast/waffles like you expect at breakfast spots so be aware of that if you're looking for sweet (chicken and waffles was closest). The biscuits were great and food was good in general.
