Agathas was not at all what I was expecting. I came in on a weekend mid-morning and it's shockingly dark once you enter the cafe. It took my eyes a few seconds to adjust to the lighting, or lack there of. We saw a counter with a tablet on top, so I thought we order at the counter and then sit at a table. I waited at the counter for severeal minutes while an associate was making a beverage. Eventually, another customer invited my friend and I to sit with them. Seating is very limited. These customers were sitting at a table with only 3 chairs that had a chess board on top. I don't know how we were expected to eat and drink with no table space? Another customer invited us to join their group as well, and their table was much larger and with no games on top of the table. The waitress eventually came to the table to take our orders. We were never greeted nor did we receive menus. Their limited food menu was no where to be found online, and it was impossible to read with the dim lighting. (I have healthy eyes and do not usually have a hard time reading menus in dark establishments, but it was way too dark in there!) After we ordered, and before we received even our drinks, the waitress came over with a tablet asking us to pay. Said it was policy to pay before receiving any F&B from them. I ordered a coffee and an egg and cheese croissant. The coffee was mediocre and the croissant wasn't anything special either. I don't know how people could cozy up with a book in this coffee shop and book store. They get one star back because of the mystery decor.

Eve from the moment you enter up to the moment you leave shared friendly and personalized customer service. She explains what’s on the menu; what changes can be made & offers great suggestions. We got blueberry scones, strawberry banana white chocolate bread, iced white chocolate mocha w/simple lavender syrup, warm espresso.Everything was fresh! The decor, the lighting, ambiance and sounds are all selected with focus to strike certain nostalgic moods, feelings, and comfort - all blended for subtle interactive vibe.I love it!Darrin was such a hospitable host, welcoming demeanor & an abundance of interesting knowledge! This quaint; cozy little nook of a place will be a routine visit.

Perhaps the coolest coffee shop I’ve ever been to!!! And my latte was perfectly made. We absolutely loved everything about it. The shop itself was a little hard to find and we almost gave up but I’m so glad we didn’t! Agatha’s and their absolutely darling staff is not to be missed!! Brava, ladies!!!

Me and my friends love Agatha's. Not only do they have amazing jazz next door but the coffee and tea is well priced and delicious. I love that they have a chess set too.

The atmosphere is a 10/10. The low lights, wall of books, friendliness of staff was amazing. I didn’t expect much from the food honestly because I was so focused on the atmosphere and I was so pleasantly surprised at the delicious breakfast sandwich we had.The hot coffee is also worth mentioning, the use a medium to dark brew and you can tell it’s fresh and not something that was sitting in a pot all morning.Overall I recommend and I will definitely like to return.

A fabulously enchanted place to savor a pot of tea, a delicious variety of hot sandwiches,! and a selection nice of sweet treats. I only wish I lived close by. I am, however, so glad to have visited while on vacation. Sweet memories of a quiet afternoon.

If you are looking for a true tea house where you sit down at a table with a lot of tea and sandwiches, this is not the place. It is a glorified Starbucks for college students. It was very small and interesting inside and fun to just pop in for a quick cup to go along with a homemade cookie or scone. I was told the small selection of sandwiches were made by a third party. Not a lunch stop or get together with friends.Parking: Parking lot has lots of pot hole and uneven, drive slow.

My girlfriend and I are in town for a couple days, in need for some quality coffee we stopped in here, nothing short of amazing. The ambiance is beautiful, a barely lit room with a bunch of cool knick knacks and some light jazz playing. The workers here are also very kind and very much themselves which i truly appreciate the personal experience when getting a cup of coffee. And to top it off the best chai my girlfriend and I have ever had.

Very unimpressed trying this place out today. I will say the panini was good, but that was the only positive experience. Right off the bat, the atmosphere was extremely crammed. All the seating areas were right up against each other and facing each other. There was no area to sit and comfortably enjoy your drink or meal. The location is advertised as a place to read a book, but the volume of the space was very loud, and from what I saw they were just selling antique books at absurd prices. They were out of the Agatha's Tea, so we didn't get to try their flagship. We tried some cappuccinos, but they were terrible. The coffee was okay but a bit watery. Even when I went to pick up our food from the counter, they didn't have our name we had just given to them. They acted like we were stupid for asking for our food and drinks that we had just paid for. We had planned to spend a couple hours there, buying lunch and drinks and maybe books, but left within a half hour because it was very unwelcoming.I'm not sure how this place has been highly rated. Give it a pass.

I don’t really leave reviews on places, but I just had to this time! This has been the most welcoming place I’ve been to. The environment is amazing and so are the people. I could sit there for hours just hanging out. Such a wonderful place and would love to come back soon.
