It was our anniversary so we took a 3 day trip to Savannah and ate first night at Old Pink House which is excellent but not as good as Elizabeth's. Second night we dined at The Grey which has a modern vibe and I suspect may appeal more to the younger crowd. Third night we ate at Elizabehth's which was our favorite of the three. On any given night, depending on what you order or what is served that you like (or love) any one of the three could come out on top but our top vote goes to Elizabeth's our favorite Savannah restaurant.

Had been here before and was not aware of their change to the prix fixe menu so a little surprised when we sat down to that but it was a great meal nonetheless. Portions were just right and excellent choices and pairings. Our servers and entire team did a great job.

I haven't been in Savannah for several years. This has always been one of my favorite restaurants in the country. It's still amazing! The food is exceptional and expertly paired with delicious wines. Our server, Kim is a consummate professional with the perfect level of attentiveness. The experience couldn't have been more enjoyable.

Lovely restaurant in a restored Victorian mansion. Parking was relatively easy on 37th street. 7 course tasting menu was a very good value. The portion sizes were bigger than what I'm used to for such a menu (but we did power through and finish dessert, cause that's how we roll). The assorted small tastes included a corn pancake with caviar, mussels in a roasted tomato sauce and a pimiento cheese tart. All were very tasty. The Georgia shrimp chowder was probably my favorite, not heavy at all. This was followed by a jumbo sea scallop which was heavenly. The salad course was, well a salad (I even forgot to take a picture, my recollection was that it was lovely) LOVED the potato crusted red snapper (my second favorite). The beef tenderloin was fine although I was getting quite full at this point, fortunately wasn't too big a portion. The raspberry chocolate torte was fabulous and as some of my dining companions were tapping out I got to have extra! Highly recommend. A little disappointed with the wine pairing though. Would order your own bottle(s) or one of their excellent cocktails. That's my game plan for the next time I go.

A 7 course fixed menu with optional wine pairings and some choices within the 7 courses. Overall good quality, standouts were the scallops, mushroom soup and the shrimp and potato. Really pleasant service and setting.

I truly, cannot stop RAVING about this restaurant. I would, in a heart beat, fly back to Savannah Georgia to dine here and here alone. The ambiance, the interior, the entire restaurant staff, the owners, the food.. everything was just outstanding in every way. Our server, Gary, I can't say enough about him from his vision for this restaurant, and his wonderful personality, generosity, kindness, and devotion to people, I feel honored to have met him and have dined in his restaurant. The homemade biscuits were scrumptious, the muscles... OTHER WORLDLY.., the baked oysters, a sweet onion soup, the light salad with a star of the show mouthwatering herb vinaigrette - a flavor I'll be chasing for the rest of my life - the snapper with Brussels sprouts, the filet mignon was seared to perfection, just all around WOW. They did have an option for wine pairing, which we did not do, but many others around us did & they seemed to enjoy it greatly! Their cocktail menu was divine as well. If you have the option to dine here during your stay, you just absolutely must. A jaw dropping experience from start to finish, and to top it off, you can feel the staff appreciation for your choice of dining with them, during your experience at Elizabeth's on 37th. 10/10.

Service was great, waiters are very knowledgable about wine pairings, but honestly the flavors were not worth the price. We did the valentine's day tasting menu $130 per person

By far exceeded our expectations. The host Gary Butch so enhanced our experience, and the food that followed was to die for . Perfect portions, served at exactly the right moments with wonderful southern hospitality. Atop of our favorite dining experiences. Highly, highly recommended

Follow @thevalenciareview on Instagram for more information!!Today's restaurant is Elizabeth's on 37th.Located in Savannah, Georgia.1. Assorted small tastes from the kitchen - Quite delish, all very refreshing very tempting they offer you a hint of what is about to come.2. Deconstructed taco - although clever it was not as appetizing as it seemed. It is quite mesmerizing there are not many dishes that can have such a presentation.3. Tomato soup - quite a surprise, a nice refreshing soup both were very flavorful. Quite a nice balance of the acid, not as caustic as some.4. Specialty salad - while ambitious in its composition, overwhelmed with its plethora of greens and lone cube of watermelon, failing to unite into a cohesive whole.5. Spiced American red Snapper - emerged as a highlight, its succulent texture and vibrant flavors showcasing the chef's culinary prowess and dedication to quality ingredients.6. Beef tenderloin - they accented the tenderness on this dish. The beef just melted in my mouth. I would've liked it cooked a bit more.7. Brownie and a baked pie - sweet denouement, though not the highlight of the night.-What do we think of Elizabeth's on 37th?-It's a beautiful restaurant nestled within the walls of what appeared to be a historic home,We did call in advance to receive a vegetarian menu as well, this one had a few less options to pick from. Every dish was made properly and with care. I also appreciate the tasting plate. And while some dishes may have fallen short of expectations, the restaurant's embrace of an ever-evolving menu speaks about their culinary innovation and exploration. It overwhelms me just think about coming up with something new every day.I think dishes like the taco fit in here, a brand new experience for something so classic and already established is hard yet not impossible as proven here.I do need to note that the vegetarian courses were repetitive, a lot of the same ingredients were used to fill every other dish. I think that the effort is missing here.Thank you to the staff and the chefs of Elizabeth's on 37th, I can't wait to see your next menu, we shall be back on our next visit to Georgia.Rating: IV out of V (VV's)Follow @thevalenciareview on Instagram for more details!!
