I was so excited to eat here. I ordered a King Crab Steam Pot and they were the worst crab legs I’ve ever had and the shrimp were not deveined. The fried pickles came with 7 pickles for $6.99. Eat somewhere else!

Sadly this was really bad. There are much better restaurants in the area! Waited at the door for about 10 mins to be seated before anyone came over…and the place was empty. Ordered a salad with shrimp. Soggy/brown iceberg lettuce, 4 tiny shrimp. Staff were working hard but it just wasn’t that crowded.

We were the only people at the bar and though the bartender saw us, she refused to serve us. We waited about 15 minutes before leaving. Pathetic.

This place was a mess. There was hardly anyone there when we arrived, so I didn't expect the service to take the 2+ hours for just 3 people. We sat down, waitress said she'd bring our "bucket," which has condiments, straws, etc. It never came. We ordered drinks, had to ask for straws 3x. We ordered food, after over 45 min. the food for 2 of us came, but the steamer bag came after another 10 min. None of us had silverware. We kept asking for them. One of us had soup, after the steamer bag, the silverware finally came, instead of wrapped in a napkin it came in the servers hand. Like, just in her hand. The soup was ok. The ceasar salad with chicken came with ceasar dressing, which was thick and gelatinous. The salmon was ok. The steamer bag was horrible. The muscles did not open properly which, I believe, signals they are old. The crab was good. The shrimp were large but not very tasty. Then randomly, the waitress brings a hard-boiled egg and says sorry we forgot this in the bag. The desserts were not very tasty despite just being cake. It was definitely NOT worth the $140+. They were running a giveaway, if you photographed yourself eating the steamer, posted on social media, and tagged them, you were entered to win something. Honestly, I wouldn't go back, even for free. Don't #securethebag, and just give a hard pass to #joescrabshack

We went their to have dinner. The food is very delicious and it becomes even better with the river view outside on the terrace. The waitress NUK made it perfect as she was very careful and nice with us and our two sons.

Great location, great outdoor patio over looking water, server was sweet, however the food was blah. Have ate at other Joe’s before, but this one wasn’t great.

We had the Cajun Boil, absolutely delicious and so so worth the price! We had an order of lobster, served with butter, that really tied the whole experience together. The location is so nice right on the river.

When we arrived, the hostess acknowledged us right away. She was pleasant and accomodating. She saw a river view booth eas empty and even had it cleaned for us on her own. Amazing. It all stpped there. We sar down and waited 20 minutes without anyone coming to the table at all. 2 servers went to both tables on either side of us half a dozen times and didn't even look our way. A family of 4 sat next to us at a table and within 1 minute, they were greeted. I do not know why we were treated like we had the plague. We got up and left, but i did tell the hostess she was great and what happened as we left. She was still polite, but she was the only good service we received.

I have eaten at Joe’s crab shack in other places before and love their bacon wrapped shrimp, so I made sure to visit this restaurant in Savannah during my business day. The first night, we were turned away as they were not able to see any more customers, although more than half of the restaurant was empty. We went early the next night and we’re seated right away. When I received my dinner, the bacon wrapped shrimp had been left off of my order. When I showed my server the menu and compared it to my plate, she went to the kitchen but then came back to tell me that they didn’t have any ready and asked if I still wanted them. Of course I did- that was a whole reason I came! After the other members of my party had eaten half of their food, I went in search of my server and asked to speak to the manager, but did not see him until he delivered the bacon wrapped shrimp after the other members of my party had already finished their meals and had been chatting for quite some time. He apologized. When the server brought our bill, we had not been given any kind of discount for the error, and she apologized stating that one of the kitchen staff had walked out. I spoke to the manager once again, and he was kind enough to comp my meal. This restaurant sits right on the river with gorgeous windows and a deck around the outside. It could be a stellar place to eat. I’m not sure what’s going on there right now, but I hope they have it taken care of soon.

Arrived at 1:05 pm on a Sunday afternoon and was told the short wait would be 10-15 minutes. We thought what great luck we must have landed at the perfect time with such a short wait time. After giving the young lady our name, we then noticed that over half of the tables were completely empty. After speaking with the hostess, she informed us that there were only 3 waitresses and that they were short staffed. Being quite understanding, we were seated within the 15 minute window. That is where the absolutely terrible service began. If you own this restaurant, you may need new management, if you are a manager, you may need to seek other employment opportunities. Our table was not addressed by a waitress for another 20+ minutes, then it took another 30+ minutes and we still didn’t get our food. All of this when there were literally 10 tables with customers. We understand being short staffed. We understand it is not the hostess or waitress/waiters issue. It is squarely a management issue and an ownership issue. Management and ownership should be stripped of their franchise! For the hardworking staff, bless you for giving all that you had!

The front staff could use some work but other than that this was a great place to eat. I came here for vacation and living in Alabama I haven't seen a Joe's since I was living in Las Vegas 16 years ago. My family used to go often so when I saw this I got too excited. My children enjoyed trying Joe's and gotta laugh out of the merchandise. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 meals. Honestly I didn't expect to spend so much. This food is really expensive but it's well worth it. I'll be back on my next trip! We also had an amazing view of the river and watched huge ships pass as we ate. My kids.loved it.Kid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed watching carto ships pass as we ate

We picked this place because of the location and the service we received at other Joe's Crab Shacks. Our first clue of poor service was the place was almost empty at LUNCH. Our hostess sat us at the table, got our water 10 minutes later from the hostess, never saw a waiter, the bar was closed. This place is dead man walking. They simply didn't care that we left. We went across the street and received excellent food and service. This place probably has the premier location on the river but don't deliver on what could be a gold mine. Extremely disappointed!

We picked this place because of the location for lunch because it's on the waterfront. Our first clue of bad service was there was NO crowd. We sat at a table, took 10 minutes to get water, bar was closed, no follow up by the waiter. The hostess delivered the water and we NEVER saw a waiter. I think they are understaffed. We left, went across the street and received excellent service. This is a dead man walking place to eat. Sad because it has so much potential.

Terrible service, terrible food dirty table awful experience. Took over 2 hrs to receive the food. Waitress, when she remembered to stop by the table forgot each time that we were waiting on food. When it was finally ready for 3 of the 4 of use it was burnt. The condiments containers had dirty napkins and forks in the the salt and pepper and paper towels. Do not go here!

Sat at bar for a long time as bar tender walked past several times. Did not even offer to serve a drink. Said Have a good night as I left. Terrible service.
