I had to watch a lady who serves you in the food area carrying a dog just when we were paying the bill after eating at this place. Imagine if there is an engine.? In my personality that person should be fired as soon as possible.

Is the Menudo good or not?

Al pastor quesadilla- It's actually really good especially if you add onion and cilantro inside topped off with lemon and salsa verde.

Very disappointed with the tamales. Very little meat, included bones and cartilage. The barbacoa taco was dry, but flavor was ok. Red sauce was good.

The Barbacoa taco meat was well seasoned and plenty of meat (meat was a little dry necessita mas grossa) The pork tamales has hardly any meat and includes chunks of tendon and bone. The Plantain leaves were used instead of Corn Husks and the Masa was bland and flavorless. We will go back for tacos, but not tamales. The salsa was spicy and delicious.

Such delicious tacos! Not to mention a soup that is to die for. Amazing Hispanic food at a good price and a great variety for everyone’s taste. I ordered the Al Pastor tacos and the Sopa.

This place is such heaven on earth that I just had to add it to Yelp. Everyone needs to know that this is, hands down, the absolute best Mexican food in the area. The flavors are money, the prices are unbeatable, and the home-cooked feel of it all is so authentic. This is a Mexican market divided into three sections: The market side with grocery items, a corner with tables and chairs ("the restaurant"), and the meat market side. There is street parking and the store itself can feel a bit cramped. Not to worry, that just means that they have a huge selection of groceries and wonderful customer service. I ordered tacos carne asada and tacos al pastor. The tacos are $3 each and are served on homemade corn tortillas, chopped onions and cilantro, and salsa verde and roja on the side. Outstanding flavors and good portions. The sauces have a nice kick. I also ordered tamales and they deserve their own Yelp page. They are the best tamales on earth (don't tell my mother-in-law). The dough is extremely soft but not soggy. They're wrapped in authentic green leaf so the aroma is preserved nicely. The pork in the tamal was so flavorful and tender. The chicken was white meat and seasoned to perfection. It's the first chicken tamale I've had where the chicken wasn't dry. At $2.50 each, I will be ordering them by the tray load next time. If you ever go and see me camping outside, I'm likely waiting for the store to open so I can get more tamales. While waiting for my food, I ventured into the meat counter section. I was completely impressed by how efficient and quick the guys were cutting and packaging meat. I ended up getting 2lbs of churrasco meat for barely $20, and I grabbed fresh limes, cilantro, onions, fresh avocados, and a packet of homemade corn tortillas for dinner. I'm never getting my meat from a chain supermarket again. Not at the prices that this place has to offer and the freshness. The guys at the counter were friendly and the butcher offered to cut/package the meat however I wanted it. By the time I went to the register to pay, the sweet lady that took my to-go order handed me my food. So I went to the register and they packaged everything for me. My groceries came out to $40 exactly (and I have at least 3 dinners for me and my husband, and enough tortillas to feed an army), and the food was $25 (6 tacos and 2 tamales). I am absolutely coming back. Often. This is the place where I'll come to get meat for the week, and I'm definitely coming back to keep trying the menu and have more of those heavenly tamales.
