Have been to a few Korean BBQ restaurants over the years and Madame Butterfly definitely is near, if not at the top, of the list. The meats were all tender and plentiful. If you're local or in Savannah visiting, definitely check it out.

Pretty restaurant, bad service, mediocre foodWe settled into our seats at the bar, eagerly anticipating the flavors of our Bibimbap and ribeye, complemented by two refreshing drinks. Despite Adam, our bartender, acknowledging our request for a medium rare ribeye, the initial steak arrived severely undercooked, with a room temperature exterior and an unexpectedly cool, blue center. After struggling to catch Adam's attention for a frustrating ten minutes, another patron graciously intervened on our behalf, prompting the return of the first steak. However, our hopes for a satisfying meal were dashed when the replacement steak arrived even less cooked—raw, cold, and with a distinct blue hue at its center, prompting another bar patron to mistakenly inquire if it was lamb. The ensuing ten-minute wait to gain Adam's attention for the second time left us disheartened and disinterested in further dining, despite having finished the bibimbap. Amidst empty drinks and water glasses, and with only the bland side of rice and mushrooms left, we persevered in trying to salvage the dining experience. However, the lack of apology and nonchalant demeanor from Adam only added to our disappointment. When the check finally arrived, Adam removed the steak from the bill without acknowledging the extensive inconvenience we had endured. For a venue renowned for its acclaim and lofty prices, the protracted wait for properly cooked steaks, coupled with lackluster service, proved to be a profound letdown. As echoed by others, the allure of this establishment seems to be more of a tourist trap than a culinary gem.

So, Madame Butterfly—a spot my friend couldn't stop raving about. Our decision to swing by ended up being one of those spontaneous dining moments you cherish. As we snagged a same-day reservation, my friend's excitement was infectious—she was practically bouncing off the walls with anticipation. Now, let's talk food. We went in with high expectations, and Madame Butterfly didn't disappoint. The MADAME BANG SHRIMP? Let's just say, it was everything I could have hoped for and more. These shrimp were no joke—plump, juicy, and coated in the perfect amount of crispy goodness. Each bite was like a flavor explosion in my mouth, leaving me speechless (well, almost). As for cocktails, I'm usually a bit wary, but our waiter, John, convinced me to take a chance. And boy, am I glad I did. His pick, the MONARCH, was like nothing I've ever tasted before—a delightful concoction of Soju Barley, Strawberry, Honey Balsamic, Citrus, and Yogurt Espuma that had me practically licking the glass clean. It was sweet, tangy, and just downright delicious. (I have proof)My friend opted for the adventurous JAJANGMYON "BLACK NOODLES," a dish she saw from our neighbor table. While it wasn't quite to my taste initially, its unique flavor grew on me with each bite. On the other hand, my choice, the BIBIMBAP, was a revelation. Let me tell you, that marinated steak was the stuff of dreams—tender, flavorful, and oh-so-satisfying. Paired with the spicy gochujang sauce and pickled veggies, it was a flavor explosion that left me craving more. The marinated steak stole the show, perfectly complementing the other ingredients, though I could have done without the soggy rice at the bottom.Throughout our meal, John's recommendations were on point, and his warm demeanor only added to the experience. He made sure we felt right at home, which is exactly what you want in a dining companion. All in all, Madame Butterfly is the real deal. From the mouthwatering dishes to the top-notch service, it's a spot that'll keep you coming back for more. So, if you find yourself in Savannah, do yourself a favor and check it out.✨ Socials @itshalliegeorge (on everything)Dietary restrictions: I am highly/deadly allergic to all nuts, prepared it so well, and was informative and careful.

Excellent food and good service and ambience. We ordered the bulgogi (cooked in the kitchen) and short ribs (for the grill). I have only two criticisms. We had appetizer plates for our dinners. Dinner size plates would've been nice. And second, it was odd to see non-Korean items on the menu, like bread with pesto sauce or the fries. Look forward to returning!

This is absolute a gem. The appetizers (egg rolls, and shrimp) were divine. Had main course we share the pork chops and beef noodle dish. I both strongly recommend. Our server Victoria was stellar, adding to the great experience.

Had a wonderful dinner with friends at the downstairs restaurant at Madame Butterfly. We ordered so many things but the best items were : the calamari, the carpaccio, the wings, the beef skewers, the crab croquettes and the fries!!! I have to point out that every single one of the dipping sauces were excellent. The flavors were so great, bar drinks were stout and delicious, and the service was also excellent. Victoria was attentive and made great recommendations, visit MB when in Savannah!

This is a quiet place during the day with good food that provides good service! It's in a good walking and shopping area! The food was seasoned well! The prices aren't bad for the food.

Rubbish restaurant, made a reservation at 7:45 and asked us to wait until 8:30. The most important thing is that there are many empty seats upstairs because there are no waiters. There was no apology, the receptionist acted like you owed him a million. This is a very rubbish

I came here with a group of girlfriends over the weekend wanting to do KBBQ after making a reservation for it on Open Table. Unfortunately we arrived and were told that those tables were not available at the time we chose even though that is specifically what our reservation was for. While this was a bummer, the server was incredibly kind about it and quickly found us a table to sit at. For my drink, I started with a blood orange martini. It had peach vodka, cranberry juice, fresh lime juice, and blood orange syrup in it and was the perfect sweetness. I would come back for this drink alone! Whew, it is so good. For my meal, I decided on the bibimbap bowl. It was loaded with veggies, steak, egg and rice. The flavor was out of this world and so rich. While pricey, I was able to eat this for a few meals as the portion was huge! Overall, this spot is worth your while. I would make sure to leave early if you have a reservation because parking can be quite difficult around that part of town.

This was our second visit the food was ok not great and was slightly above warm. Service was lacking no refill of water the entire meal and waitress checked back to bring the check.

The meal started off strong appetizers were good but as we segwayed into the main course the service e began to get slower. Granted the was only one server but the server didn't seem to have a real strategy for handling the customers. Once we received our food a few of us had issues with our plates but it took about 30 minutes for someone to come back to the table, by that time my wife had decided she no longer wanted her meal. The meal had promise but the lack of timely service and lack of attention to details requested for each plate left us with a less than desirable experience. Also the handling of the bill was questionable. If you're in a group make sure you tell them separate checks repeatedly before the bill comes out
