We sat outside at this restaurant and the service was the worst I’d ever experienced. Our server was a long time showing up, but finally did. We wanted to sit for a while enjoying the view and atmosphere. We didn’t see our server again for at least 45 minutes. We asked another server and the hostess to get our server. The other server took our order. We waited another 30 minutes, at least, and our food never came. It was my birthday and I felt cheated. The server finally showed up after we asked the hostess for our drink check. Our server came out and asked how we enjoyed everything, meaning our food. We NEVER had food, but she didn’t know it. We left immediately. I was so so disappointed.

Fried green tomatoes were amazing! The filet was extremely dry- didn’t appear to be seasoned at all, and was not the least bit juicy. Literally like a hockey puck. Very disappointing considering the price. Stick with the tomatoes! We came in at 9pm and they close at 10. Our waitress came to take our order, bring food and bring the check. Never asked how the meal was or refilled our drinks. Just an overall disappointing experience. I gave 4 stars overall due to the atmosphere and the tomatoes.

Very good food. The only thing - food waiting time is quite long. More than 40 mins.

After a long day driving, I checked into the Cotton Sail Hotel. This restaurant is downstairs, only an elevator ride away. Being by myself, I sat at the bar. It was crowded and the bar lady was going wide open. It took awhile, but I got a beer while I was waiting on my dinner. I ordered Grouper Oscar and again I waited. It came and I was sad that it was not hot. The fish was good, but the “Oscar” topping was great! The bar lady didn’t bring my water until after I finished. I only saw her again to pay. I will give them a second chance, but not chose to eat at the bar.

We dined outside to watch the ships and people. Inside is even better. Lobster/crab bisque was great, best I've ever had. I had chef's special blackened corvina on orzo. It was amazing. I'll be back in savanna this fall and bringing the family.

There are so many seafood restaurants to choose from in Savannah, but you really don't want to miss the River House. Food, atmosphere and service are all top notch!

The ambiance here was quite nice and welcoming, but on the downside I ordered a cheeseburger which came out well done, too tough for me and I requested medium-well so it didn't meet my expectations. Staff were pretty attentive but it wasn't very busy at the time. Honestly the service and the atmosphere was decent but the food was not the best. I'll give it another try nonetheless in hopes of a better experience, food wise ?

Great menu, something for everyone. Fast service great cocktails. Nice place for lunch or dinner. Definitely going back. Key lime pie was to die for.
What a find! Made reservations a few months ago on Open Table. Promptly seated with a river view and we didn't even specify one! Kimberly was so lovely, she explained the specials, answered all our questions. She was genuinely interested in our having a great dining experience. Fried green tomatoes were excellent. Our party had escargot, soft shell crab special, lobster w/crab bisque (yum), seafood mac and cheese (yum) and the sliders. Only the sliders were not top drawer. Dessert is a must even though you're stuffed. Chocolate cheesecake was ok, not too sweet. White chocolate coconut cream pie was rich. We all decided next time we'd get the peach cobbler that we witnessed 2 neighboring tables enjoying. Would definitely go back. Stopping on the way out to tell the manager, Mike, how lovely Kimberly was!!
