Great coffee and pastries, friendly people, plenty of seating, easy to find parking, next to a great park to wander through.

Visited on a Monday afternoon and there was only a small line to order. I opted in for a light roast coffee and it was brewed perfect for a day at the park. The group also had a croissant which was delicious and tried the dirty south (a shot of espresso over lemonade) which was unique and not a favorite but worthy of trying. I highly recommend checking out this small gem while in the park area as the coffee was great and so were the staff.Wheelchair accessibility: This cafe is completely wheelchair accessible with an accessible entrance, restroom, and seating.

Seems fine. Hear the locals always talking about it. Lots of space inside for a coffee shop.Parking: Competing with forsyth park visitors. Can find free street parking if willing to walk a block or 2

I came across The Sentient Bean by accident, as I was walking around Forsyth Park! I just ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte, which was delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised to taste a hint of Rosemary in my drink. I actually tasted this over the pumpkin, but I’m honestly not complaining!

Really good coffee! We went several times during our 5 day stay in Savannah in February.

This is a great place to grab coffee...also of note is their food! I have had excellent breakfasts and snacks/lunch like their black bean quesadilla....that is the stuff of dreams!

The vegan breakfast burrito was everything and then some. It was a hearty and tasty start of my day. Can't wait to return!

Great location to get a cup of coffee near the park. It was bustling around 10 am on a Tuesday morning. We had a breakfast tea and chai tea latte. Nothing too special about the drinks. $6 for a cup of hot water and tea bag is kind of ridiculous. Had to put the sugar and milk in ourselves. Cute atmosphere though.

Place is decent, but not very well lit and just looks on the grungier side. I’ve seen grunge done well, but this wasn’t that. I came here to try and get some work done but it was a tad noisy. The coffee was decent but nothing to write home about. I ordered a breakfast burrito which was every type of messy. It was poorly wrapped and kept falling apart, and soggy. Additionally, the textures and flavors on the burrito didn’t really play well together. There were the toughest whole spinach leaves clumped together in the burrito that made it a bear to bite into, in addition to it falling apart, and overall it wasn’t particularly well seasoned. I like trying local places when I travel and this one had some decent reviews so I was excited to try it, but it did not live up to the reviews at all.On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stopped at the Sentient Bean for coffee and chai tea. I’m a chai tea aficionado so I was delighted to learn they make their own formula. When I first tasted it, I thought it wasn’t as sweet as I liked, so I was directed to where they keep the sugar and other products. However, there was no sugar or sweetener there. Someone brought over a jar of raw sugar, but that’s not what I wanted. I was then told that they use simple syrup for a sweetener. Not my “cup of tea” so I pulled out some sweetener from my purse. The tea was a little too cinnamon-y for me, but in general pretty good.Nice owner . . .

Great Chai latte! You can tell they make their blend in house! I had the Big Daddy sandwich but with a runny egg instead and it was really good!

Sub par latte at its best. I hate walking into a coffee shop and not being engulfed in the aroma of brewing coffee. Location is great tho. Right across from Forsyth park.

Stop here to grab a hot beverage on a cold day in Savannah. Everyone was very nice and the overall experience of the space is safe, accepting, and relaxing. It's nice to see places care so much about recycling and the earth. We had some house made chai lattes. You could tell they weren't from a syrup which was nice, but they could have been a bit spicier.
