Why is this place temporarily closed??? The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is unlike any other, with good music and great behind the bar service. Sigh. Come back.

Call before you decide to come here because apparently they don't always have the dining room open. This is the second time that I've driven in from Hinesville to eat here and they were only taking to go orders (both on Friday nights). The first time I obliged and took my food to a park and ate (the sign in the door said they had done "renovations"); kinda lame getting the surprise of a closed dining room, but the food was good. Tonight a patron out front said I could actually eat at the bar (in a to go container), because I didn't want to go to the park as it was getting late (there wasn't an explanation on the door as to why they were only taking carry out's this time). I came in at 8:05, and while I could have eaten at the bar, the bar tender informed me they only do the bar menu past 8:00. I decided to leave because the bar menu was basically just appetizers; the aforementioned patron out front informed me they were having "trouble keeping staff," in regards to the closed dining room. Given the number of options in Savannah when I visit, I dount I'll be back. Even though the food was good, it seems like there's something sketchy going on with this establishment.

I checked the reviews for this restaurant and there was one really bad one. The response of the business owner is really important to me, and these owners handled it really well. This is a restaurant and bar, but the restaurant is completely separate from the bar area. The food was really good and the service excellent.

-Above the bar- food, service, & completely the best personalities of employees I have had the pleasure to witness in a very long time! Thank you all, including the owner Steph, for making our dining experience the best ever as we had a bitter sweet goodbye with our friend whom leaves for Japan tomorrow. Those of us still local will be returning! The food was excellent! Definitely friendly and if you are a local business owner, you have alot of competition with this establishment. Completely above expectations. Thank you all!

Quiet, plenty of parking space. Diligent service, the waitress checked in regularly. The furniture decor does scream India. Huge, organized menu and well sectioned. Plenty of space between tables. Food was savory, the chef can cater spiciness to order ( huge ++). Try the Naan (bread) sampler baskets. The items in the menu have a good description of what you're getting. We had lamb, it was tender my GF's was same. So they are consistent. Decent drink menu.

Warning Not Authentic Indian food!!This used to be a great food when the original owner ran it. It was sold 5 years ago.Hours, food and service has declined since then. After so many years revisited Savannah and 2 days ago went to order their signature dish tandoori chicken, the caucasian waiter didn’t even recognize the word “tandoori” kept saying “What chicken?” Then said “maybe you called the wrong restaurant.” After repeated attempts said “oh TAN-doo-ri.” That should have been my clue, but I was craving it. Also got manchurian, but Bad decision. In short chef may have left and who ever is making the food likely is not Indian may have gotten some training but taste is NOT authentic food. Just fyi. Also bar area has been turned into billiards area not even Indian music. Maybe its the pandemic aftermath.

Excellent service and quality food. Highly recommend and will be returning as often as possible. Prices are totally fair for the amount of food served. Some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve had outside of a major city like New York or New Orleans. Atmosphere was beautiful as well!

Friendly people, the owners are awesome. Went to restaurant while it was close but still they let us in to order from bar and eat in their restaurant because we had kids along. ?

This place is the best. The food is absolutely stellar, the employees and servers are wonderful, attentive, and kind. This is absolutely the best Indian food in Savannah. Honestly, it’s the best I’ve had ever.

We ordered following food for Togo. got it after one hour of wait at restaurant. Here is the feedback :Onion kulcha - burnt, hard to byte. Thrown away.Garlic naan - hard to byte, raw smell. Thrown thisIndian style chicken curry - half cooked chicken, thrown away.Malai kofta - Malai balls are broken, sauce taste is bad. Thrown away.Mango lassi - served with ice. Worst taste. Thrown away.Gobi Manchurian - raw Gobi smell. Not good.Chicken Manchurian - uncooked chicken, worst gravy. Thrown away.White rice - ok, better.Dear friends, don't get caught by name and reviews. I suggest you to eat TaCo bell and sleep if nothing found. This is the worst restaurant.I doubt if this restaurant is properly licensed...

Had drinks at the bar and some stuffed Naan for appetizer. Awesome drinks and the bread was great! Had Lamb vindaloo with basmati rice for dinner. Ordered medium heat. It was perfect. I love spicy food. Do not order this if you don't enjoy spicy. But its perfect for those that do!

? Not a fan. Happened within three nights in the same week...I go one night with bartender, drinks are affordable. Go another night, different bartender get the same drinks/same number, drinks are through the roof. Your talking about a $30 difference. Bartenders are not attentive, other than the customers they choose to sit and mingle with, lots of floor space but nowhere to sit. People with nothing to do will hype up anything.Maybe the restaurant is better. I'll try that before I decide whether or not to patronize again.

Taste of India is by far one of the best Indian restaurants I have experienced in the city and the owners treat you like family!
