Ordered a forager burger. It was a sorry excuse for a hamburger. Very small in size, overcooked, dry, no flavor. No sign of the mushrooms and onions that were supposed to go on top. Service was ok, food was not. The pub is in a basement, has some brick walls, decor was so-so.

The Ordinary Pub was the perfect spot for all the right reasons - the service, the food, and the atmosphere. We started with the Fried Green Tomato Capresse Salad. It was a fun, creative, and yummy take on the traditional caprese. We followed that with the Duck Confit Tacos. These were flavorful and fresh and we loved the accompanying red cabbage slaw. Palmer was the perfect waitress - full of southern charm, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The manager, Rich, also deserves mention. When we asked about grits and their origin in relation to polenta and cornmeal he went out of his way and printed up an informational comparison! And, when we asked about the duck, he went and got the chef who was equally kind, helpful and patient with our questions. I highly recommend The Ordinary Pub.

If you can make time to visit this place when you’re in the area, it will be worth your while. Food is to die for. Good atmosphere and service to boot. Beware of the massive portions! Probably could have shared the Mac and Cheese with my hubs ?

$31 for the worlds worst mac and cheese. Absolutely no flavor, no seasoning, not even salt, the cheese doesn’t even stick on the macaroni. Kraft mac and cheese tastes better than whatever this was.. I would go as far as to say that Auntie Anne’s mac and cheese is better too. I also couldn’t get the bacon or sausage in the m&c due to dietary restrictions so my waitress said she’d sub it for chicken and then proceeded to charge me $6 for added chicken. I basically just threw $37 in the trash.

The chicken lollipops were raw, the steak was chewy and not how I oredered it. The waitress was not good.
We went to The Ordinary Pub on my bachelorette trip and it was my favorite meal of the trip (and we ate great food the whole time)! I got the short braised rib with cornbread and it was DELICIOUS! I also sampled every one of my friends dishes and there was not one bad dish. Additionally, since we had a large group and no reservation, they were so kind to squeeze us in and get us served quickly. Do yourself a favor and go eat at The Ordinary!
