Everything about our visit was positive. We stopped in on our trip to Savannah, looking for a fun place that served pretty good seafood. Tubby's checks all the boxes. The food is so good and tasty. The portions are huge and filling. The service was great as the staff are friendly and helpful. Our server was very thorough and on top of it. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. We sat outside on the balcony overlooking the Savannah River and the historic River Street. If we are ever in Savannah again, Tubby's will definitely be one of our stops.

Fresh seafood. It was great. Waitress was amazing. Options to sit on deck or outside. We chose the deck. It was wonderful

To start we ordered the crab dip. It did come quick but, the chips were stale and did not seem to have any crab meat. My wife ordered the oyster and shrimp po boy, there were only 7 pieces on the sandwich. The oysters were mainly breading. I ordered the scallop basket. The fries were good, the scallops were soggy and in a milk like substance. (See photo) The service was fine. Overall disappointed in spending $75 pre tip.

The worst meal we have ever been served. We were looking forward to a fabulous seafood meal and thought this place had a great position by the river and looked vibrant so it must have a great name and way of doing things. Once we were seated it all looked a little scruffy. We should have listened to our gut feelings. Our meals arrived way too quickly; our wines hadn't even been served. There was no chance to enjoy a drink before dinner. Both of us thought that our meals looked tired; something we would have never served at home. The fries and green beans were tired and cold; it was obvious that they had been sitting for way too long in a bain marie rather than cooked to order. The thumb nailed sized oysters were deep fried in batter. Crab cakes were deep fried rather than 'lightly fried'. There was no respect for the food. I am not a fussy eater, but it looked like our food had been sitting in the pot and slopped on to our plates. The hushpuppys were cold and hard, the fries were desiccated and cold and greasy. Green beans tired and limp. Frankly, a disgusting meal that I would never serve at home. It was impossible to get attention from anyone to rectify this and the young man at the front desk was more interested in his music rather than acknowledging us as we paid and left. We regretted not pushing this at the time but we just wanted to get out and go back to our hotel. Don't eat here.

Most of the food was great. The corn on the cobb wasn't cooked and wasn't seasoned at all. Pet friendly outdoor seating with fans, which was nice. They even brought our little dog a bowl of ice water!

Tubbys needs better management. The food is quite good, with seafood being the focal point of the menu. We had a good server who was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We sat near the kitchen and what we saw explained why our meal and every other patrons meal was so late getting to our table. Kitchen staff routinely walked in and out of the kitchen, sitting at tables and chatting with friends. Two members of the kitchen had to be told to get back to work. They stroll through the restaurant with a slow pace seldom seen outside of a theme park. One kitchen worker came out and sat down to chat with friends four times during our meal! Only returning after being pestered by servers for their orders.Multiple patrons witnessing this were getting irate, and servers kept having to make excuses, which is unfortunate. The staff wear street clothes, which only adds to the already out of control laid-back work environment. The lack of strong leadership here will be a huge problem soon. If it wasn't for a constant influx of tourists who don't know better, this place wouldn't survive.Just a heads up, apparently, the fire alarm goes off constantly here due to some neighbor issues, so ask to sit outside or be prepared to listen to the alarm.

Awful. No other way to really describe it. It took over 60 minutes from the time we ordered to get our food. Out of 10 people- the only food that came out worth eating was peel n' eat shrimp, cheese sticks and Buffalo shrimp.Service was awful. Never got a refill. Only saw our waitress three times!I'm not one to write a bad review but it was a necessity this time.

Just went for drinks, They made very good pours. We sat outside on the balcony overlooking the river. There were street performers on the river walk that did a great job with covers from all different bands mainly 70s R&B. Food looked good as it passed by and restaurant was very busy.

The whole experience at this restaurant was horrible. Our pre-dinner drinks were mediocre at best, our table was given away to other guests that arrived after us, our appetizer order was lost, it took more than an hour for our food to come out, and one meal arrived when the rest of us were done. One would think that this was just a fluke, but there was another table at the same time whose order was also messed up. Although the manager gave a good discount to our bill, she seemed unconcerned that the service was so deplorable. The only good thing about the whole experience was the pleasant server. In short, there are enough other restaurants to eat at in Savannah that you don’t need to settle.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!I wish I could give it zero. The service was absolutely horrible. And the food? I wouldn’t know because after an hour and a half, and my whole table being served, AND finished eating… myself and one other in our party STILL NEVER GOT THIER FOOD. When asking management what could be done, all they did was remove it from our bill with ZERO apologies. Crystal I think her name was? She has no business being in customer service, and neither did our waitress. The place wasn’t even that busy??? Our table and one other were consistently waiting for drink refills and of course our food to come! As a Savannah local, there are SO many better restaurants. Do NOT waste your time with this one.

What a way to welcome yourself to Savannah and The River Walk.Located at the River Walk, this restaurant screams everything Savannah.Food - At the recommendation of our server and countless other diners, we opted for the shrimp and grits, along with salads, and burgers/fries. No complaints here as all plates were cleaned.Service- I think because we went early, we had no wait as we just walked up and were seated. Due to the extreme heat, we opted to sit inside versus outside over looking River Street and the River Walk. Our waiter was very attentive to our needs and kept the drinks filled and table clear of dirty dishes.Atmosphere- I believe the best spot is outside over looking the street and river walk. As the bar is outside as well.A must stop when in Savannah historic district and River Walk.

We had a family dinner at Tubby's with some typical soutern food like fried green tomatoes, shrimp, corn, beans. The kids had some burgers. The food was good, the service a little bit slow. Sitting outside on the terrace is really nice.
