This place is now Takano. Who cares. Whats in a name. What's in this place is amazing sushi...ramen...udon...tonkatsu. I've had nothing bad here. I want to try their curry next. I watch many videos on people who live in Japan and their food experiences. This is almost exactly like what they show, and I love it.

I have been there few times and sashimi fishes are fresh. And miso soup are little light but close to Japanese miso soup. Owner(when was sushi avenue) was Japanese and so was waitress. And I am Japanese to I could have conversation with Japanese and food was good. I would recommend if I want to eat Japanese food or any sushi!

This is a very cozy place where the food tastes fresh! The sushi was lovely and the server helped me choose the best option for me. We also had the combination dinner and it was very well presented! I will be bringing anyone I know to come eat here!

Server/hostess was rude. Ordered what I wanted got something completely different. Should have taken the time to drive 10 more minutes to Duluth for better sushi.

The food was delicious, the wait was a tad much given though. I called 20 minutes away and it still wasn't ready. I'll just call

The name has been changed, but same staff and owner. This spot is a small space, but best sushi around with an authentic atmosphere. Hamachi kama is amazing when it's available. Staff is always friendly and professional. They go beyond for their customers. When I left last, I forgot my retainer. The waitress ran out and brought it to me. I was embarrassed, but thoroughly grateful. Truly this place is a treasure.

Our Snellville Sushi Avenue pulled one over on me!! All this time I've worried they left us but I was wrong!!!! They simply changed their name to Takano and added Ramen noodles to their new menu. Same wonderful sushi chefs who make magic with sushi. Same shrimp tempura and soft shell crab. Same ginger dressing. Same sweet servers who know we want a medium Sapporo when they see us walk in the door. A couple of good, new sushi rolls have been added. Love this place.

It's actually called Takano now, but it is by far the best sushi and ramen place to go outside of downtown ATL. There are a few other sushi places nearby but they pale in comparison to this place.
