The prices are absolutely ridiculous! I got a side of rasta pasta for over $7 and the sauce was lumpy from balls of flour. Mind you it's a meatless option and the sauce is supposed to be creamy. Then the jerk shrimp you get 8 overly seasoned shrimp for $22 plus tax with 2 sides. The potatoes wasn't even soft enough to eat. The cashier wasn't rude but she also was NOT welcoming. When I voiced my opinion to her she went to the kitchen and repeated it and i heard them talking about me. Mind you that is completely unprofessional and definitely bad customer service. But i didnt say anything. I just waited for the food and left. I don't mind paying for food, but quality means everything when you are paying the prices they charge. Coming from a Caribbean home, this was not it. The Dutch Pot in Fort Lauderdale is EVERYTHING!!!!!! I have always went to them from childhood to adulthood. So coming here to Georgia and sewing a familiar name, I was like okay. But it was a complete disappointment. I would wait until I go home to Florida to eat from the Dutch Pot. I spent over $30 this morning for one small plate and a side of pasta. Never again.

The old lady in the back which I assume is the cook had a nasty foul attitude about her when I asked a simple question. Disrespectful I would never come here again or recommend to my friends and family.

Amazing tasting food, and great service. The owner said I would love it and no lies detected. Chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly, rice and peas tasty, cabbage flavorful, and plantains soft and sweet.I'll be back for sure!

Bad experience with this restaurant. Ordered the rasta pasta, didn't want the sides.....just wanted the chicken and the pasta. Why was I told $2 extra when all that I was doing was removing the sides??The women who work at this restaurant have a very bad attitude......tried to explain my request and the woman was rude and just walked away!!! Another woman came to help and it turned into a back and forth debate.I have seen this problem over and over again with black owned restaurants.....rude owners, small portion sizes and high prices.Message to owner(s) and staff..... remember it's the customers coming to your restaurant and spending their money that keeps you in business. Without us you would not have a business!! Your PRICES ARE ALREADY WAY TOO HIGH for the small amount of food that you give customers..... please let's not be greedy and try to charge customers $2 extra.Life is stressful enough, customers don't want to give you their $$ and then have to fight with rude owners and staff.First and last time visit for us!!! Too many Jamaican restaurants to have to deal with rude owners at this restaurant. I recommend that if you are thinking about giving this restaurant your hard earned $$....don't, take your money to a restaurant that provides good customer service, good food, reasonable prices and good food portions.

Usually very good food and service… today they skimped me on the love though. Food was dry, no gravy. Plantains were undercooked, macaroni was under-seasoned and the cashier was low key trying to rush me out. They may save this experience with the chocolate cake. Long term I would love to see more than one size drink for the made drinks as well. Somewhat disappointed always that they only have one size. A little disappointed this go round but I’ll be back again.

I've wanted to go to this place for a couple years now, but I never got the chance to until today. However, I was slightly disappointed. The food was good, but not as good as other, more dedicated Jamaican restaurants (The Dutch Pot is Caribbean/American fusion) in this area. Not the best Caribbean place in the area, but still good. However, if you want really good Jamaican food, I more highly recommend "My Youth" in Rex.

This was the worst food I've ever eaten. I love jamaican food but everything tasted spoiled. I actually spit the rasta pasta out as soon as I put it in my mouth. I can't explain it any better than that. This was my first and last visit. I didn't complain, but I'll never order from here again. I didn't go in to pick the food up, but my boyfriend did and he did say the staff was nice.

My first time going to the Dutch Pot in GA visiting from NY. Food was fresh, very tasty and delicious. It is a great atmosphere and the decor is very beautiful. It felt very homey. My sisters and I enjoyed our meals. Will definely return when I am back in GA.

I hate to do this, but hopefully this feedback will help improve vs degrade this establishment. I love Caribbean food. Jamaican being 1 of them. I've been to several Jamaican restaurants in GA, and this is the only one I felt the need to provide negative feedback. My son is a fan of this place, so my wife and I decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was cafeteria style service. That's always a turn off for me. If I wanted cafeteria style food, there was a Pic-a-dilly next door. Cafeteria style only works for busy establishments, because the food rotates often, so the likelihood of it being fresh is greater. The food here was clearly sitting there for a while as the sides were dried over and the meats were just floating in a oily sauce. At that point I should have turned around, but I bit the bullet anyway. We ordered a small plate of Jerk chicken and a small brown stewed chicken plate. The sides were cabbage and mac as each plate came with one side even though the plates were $17 each. After two small plates, two bottled waters, and 15% tip the bill was roughly $50. We ate inside, sat down, opened out plates and my wife got 3 chicken leg tops on top of overcooked rice and peas and cabbage. The cabbage was the best thing on her plate. I got a chicken thigh cut in half and then another chicken thigh half on top of overcooked rice and peas and macaroni and cheese that was so dry, that I could have crumbled it up, rolled it and smoked it! The meat had no flavor. The bbq sauce they gave us tasted like sweet baby rays with a dash of Tabasco sauce to give it heat. I'm sorry, but this was by far the most disappointing meal that I had for what I paid for it in a long time. I'm not one of those to complain, make a fuss and ask for a refund, I'd rather just not go back, but I felt I needed to share my experience just in case someone needed an honest opinion before trying this place out. If you decide to go, hopefully your experience will be better than mine.....
