I’ve been to multiple mangos location at this point and I can say this one is my least favorite. My server/barkeep was amazing. Her name was Niqua and she was running the entire front of the house with what looked to be like no supervisor. I respect that. It was a pretty slow day since I hate that for her. There is no alcohol at this location. It’s a very small venue. But while Niqua was amazing I did not appreciate the food. My rice and peas was dry and I felt the goat was cut without a care in the world. I don’t mind spending money in the community but I don’t want to unalive myself trying to do it. I just feel that the food is better at the west end location. Have a great day! Thanks Niqua!

My sis and I wanted some food and listen to some music…… We had ordered Jerk , beef stew and plantains. The wait was extremely long. The rice was cold and I asked for more cabbage and a small portion of rice. That didn’t happen. We never received our plantains. The need help. The young man can run the bar and seat customers. They need to get it together.

Curry goat plate was very skimp for 20$ and the jerk chicken pasta was terrible the chicken was so hard I couldn’t even chew it I definitely don’t recommend eating from here at all

“Tru” the “manager” is utterly rude and has no conflict resolution whatsoever. I am so sick of Black owners with poor work ethic representing our community is such a negative way. So many negative experiences like this occur and you all feed the fire.After an Uber eats driver stope my food I drove 15 minutes and then waited almost an hour for my order! I never received my full order! I tried to call back and explain this. It was met with a completely rude manager, who called me a diva because they were busy and I had expectations (Again, my original order was placed to this restaurant at around 8:15). By the time I left this restaurant it was AFTER 10pm. I will never Spend my money in a place of business like this again. The only thing “tru” About this restaurant is ego versus ethic.

DONT EAT HERE! Firstly when we first walked in we didn’t get greeted, didn’t know where to order because the building is spilt up. The music was so loud in this little space couldn’t even hear the guy taking our order and he was the one controlling the music. We ordered one jerk plate and the wait was 45 minutes to 1 whole hour. We got our food after the hour long wait went to the car opened it and it was barely any food on the plate, one to two pieces a chicken 2 scoops of rice and 2 plantains with some dry cabbage. So I explained to him that it was barely any food and we didn’t even touch anything on the plate, as soon as we walked out we came right back in 2 minutes later I requested a refund the guy said “let me call the boss man” I said okay that’s fine. He called him, opened the plate then stayed “it looks like you all have been tampering with the food” I stated we didn't touch not one thing on that plate. He proceeded to walk away and continue to talk to the “boss man” shortly after he came back and opened the plate again accusing us saying “it looks like they picked with the food”. I again stated “we did not touch anything on plate” then he started getting argumentative then said to the boss man “no because I’m not about to argue with a child” tf type of business are they running here then not to mention they have some of their employees or family members idk who rolling up weed. Like huh ???????

I ordered the brown stewed chicken and this was the chicken. The rice & peas were old, as well as the plantains. The mac & cheese tasted like pure sage only. Unfortunately, the lemonade was the best part of the meal.
I was gonna try this location but the reviews and pictures made me not wanna eat here! I’ll try the other
