It's a small place in an older mall but a restaurant is about the food and ms pats covers their niche well. Collard greens were perfectly prepared and not full of fat like others. Okra was fried fresh and the meat was cooked fine and the portions were a decent value for the price. Good spot

No way is this a 4.0 business ?The place is dim and gloomy. The servers just want a tip w/out earning it, but most of all food is never fresh and served cool...not nice and hot.When we brought to owners attention, Pat said I will put it in the microwave...Who spends $20.00 to have zapped food??? No longer us.You all need to check her score.Pat- staff show appreciation for your customers. Times are tight so when we spend our money we want to feel it was worth it. In late January...it was a D-Do better and give better service, serve fresh food and serve with smiles in 2024. Can not recommend...

The Mac&Cheese is FIRE!!! I ordered the Fried Chicken with Mac& Cheese and Cabbage. Ribs were falling off the bone, nice and tender. I got the String Beans and Yams with that, so tasty and I also ordered Grilled Pork Chops with Black Eyed Peas. The prices are reasonable, this was my first time, I will definitely be coming back!!!

THE FOOD WAS HORRIBLE, THE PORTION WAS A JOKE FOR THE MONEY I SPENT. MY PORKCHOP WAS OVERCOOKED. THE MASH POTATOES CAME OUT OF A BAG. I WILL NEVER Order again. Sorry need to do better. My corn bread smelled like fish.
Trash, day old canned sides and barley edible entrees. Joint was dark, damp and smelled like an attic inside restaurant

The service was great however the food left much to be desired. Ordered two fish and shrimp dinners and desserts. The fish and shrimp were saltier than salt, overcooked and you could tell the food was cook in old grease. The mac n cheese was flavorless, my collards were tasty but some reason cabbage was underneath them, and the sweet potatoes/yams were stringy and undercooked(the flavor was right though). We also ordered peach cobbler but they ran out and that banana pudding was the worst I've ever had! Was that pudding from a can or what? We were told that this was the same spot as We Got Soul but sadly last night we were left hungry. Overall the food was horrible.
