I regret to say that my recent visit to Asian Star in Atlanta was nothing short of a disappointment. Despite the enticing promise of Venezuelan Chinese fusion cuisine, the reality fell far short of expectations.Firstly, the food was indistinguishable from what you'd find at a run-of-the-mill Chinese buffet joint. There was nothing unique or remarkable about it, despite the restaurant's claims of offering a unique culinary experience.Secondly, the pricing was exorbitant, to say the least. Not only were the menu prices high, but the sneaky addition of an 18%+18% charge on top of the bill left a bitter taste in our mouths. To put it into perspective, our bill for a group of 6 adults and 5 kids amounted to a staggering $340. This is daylight robbery for mediocre food.Furthermore, this is not a place conducive to accommodating big groups or families. The lack of space and the overall cramped atmosphere made our dining experience uncomfortable and far from enjoyable. In conclusion, Asian Star failed to live up to its hype. Save your money and your taste buds by avoiding this establishment. You'd be better off investing in a first-class trip to Venezuela, where you'd likely find far more satisfying culinary delights.

I had expectations to try knowing that since it is Venezuelan the prices would not be so cheap, the "sweet and sour" chicken is not such a thing, it is palisade chicken with a sauce that is not so sweet and sour, it does not have the typical vegetables that this dish usually has. The special rice had a strange flavor and not much chicken or ham, if it had enough shrimp.

Very expensive for what it is. Full pile of rice with not meat. Reported to manager, not interested in listening. Family members fell Ill which made me wondered if they handle raw products correctly and if everything was fresh. Wouldn’t come back. Save your money!

We arrived with high expectations at this restaurant. We bought a Venezuelan family rice for 64 dollars plus 2 chop suey adding up to 100 dollars just to give us the big surprise that the rice did notIt had absolutely no meat, just tiny pieces that were sad. When we called the manager she was not interested in knowing about this. To make matters even worse, several family members became ill.

We have been going to this lovely place for years. The owners are so nice and accommodating with customizing our menu options. Place is small - built for take out but worth it. The food is plentiful and tastes great. Worth it.

I am Venezuelan, Caraqueña. And I liked the food I tried here. I find its flavor quite typical as I was able to eat it in my country, the chicken with honey, garlic and sesame was very delicious. My favorite part was the chicken corn soup. And the rice and the cleaning were super. Recommended if you want to eat Chinese/Venezuelan

I came in there for the first time. Ordered the lunch special Shrimp Lomein, Shrimp fried rice, Orange Chicken and beef and vegetables. The food is very SALTY and just nasty. I expect better from a place that claims they cook Chinese and Venezuelan food. This wasn't it and $45 dollars of a waste.

Excellent food, Venezuelan style and Jenny's attention 20
Should’ve known something was up when I walked in and did not smell the food . Normally when you got to a Chinese place you can smell it in the air . Got shrimp sauce was nasty . Rice was weak . My father got their braze wing chicken taste like they went to Kroger grab the chicken sauce and just put it on some wings very disappointing.

we ordered the fried rice with spring rolls and sweet and sour chicken. It seemed to me that the attention was normal, but the food really isn't worth what it is. the chicken had a terrible flavor, the spring rolls with a lot of oil, and the fried rice lacked more protein. I would not eat there again because it is too expensive for what it is, I recommend that they improve their quality because their food is not worth it. I do not recommend it.
