I don't know why this location has such mixed reviews - I've never had a bad experience here. Their Togo could use some help, but it's truly because they just get overwhelmed when it's a big order and they mix things up/forget things. Staff are very nice and hardworking, you see the kitchen and front of house moving at the speed of lightning to try and get everyone fed. They are the most consistently good bbq in GA. Meat is seasoned and tender, all the sides are done well, delicious desserts. I truly have no complaints about the food and I have tried plenty of spots in GA, and specifically the outer atlanta area. I'd highly recommend this spot, I come here anytime I want bbq.

The last time I ordered I picked up the meal for 5 people over $110 order. They left out a $23 meal. Didn’t apologize and were rude. But I came back 6 months later thinking I’d get a better experience. I DoorDashed this time.Everything was in the bag. But the half slab of ribs were burned, the fries were small and greasy, the Mac and cheese were chewy and a bad taste to it. Overly a bad food experience. The burned ribs was bad though.Kids are wondering why I bothered. Me too.

If you like bbq, then you have to try this place! It is one of my favorites! Every time I am in Atlanta, this is a must for me! They have a variety of meats and sides. My favorite is the pulled pork and my husband loves the brisket. The fries - omg - love those! I have tried several things here and all of it has been amazing! I do not eat chicken, so I don’t know about that, but I’m sure it is good as well. They have different sauces to choose from as well. If you are up in the Suwanee area of Atlanta, definitely put this place on your list!

I guess there is no option for zero stars. Wow, just ordered out for City Barbecue (7pm Wednesday night). When I picked up my food there was only a total of 3 people in this restaurant. Now I know why. I just witnessed the worst barbecue I have had in several decades. I had pulled pork and ribs and collard greens. The ribs were the worst I have ever had in my entire life. Just terrible, it was as if they had been sitting around for days or something. The bone of the ribs were as soft as a sponge and the meat was, you guessed it......horrible. The pulled pork passed as just edible. The collard greens hardly had any greens in it....it was a small cup of stale pork chunks swimming in collard juice with literally no greens in it. I'll end on a positive note.....it's just a good thing the portion size was really small (I didn't feel pressured to eat more of that garbage). Holy Mackeral, if this place isn't out of business soon I'll be surprised. How do they even serve that stuff?

Very poor pork quality this night; dry, low-flavored, all dark meat. Very disappointing, as I had gone out of my way to buy supper for a small party there. I gave an extra star because I've had excellent barbecue here several times before. Service is always courteous and good. Very disappointed, but will undoubtedly try again.

Disappointing experience....again. Even worse, their brisket. It was so bad that it compelled me to write my first Yelp review (good or bad) EVER. One tough, gray slice of brisket arrived in the 2-meat platter. The brisket was just as tough, maybe worse, on my son's More Cowbell sandwich. First pic is how City BBQ showcases their brisket in their pics. Second photo is how it actually looked. City BBQ John's Creek, you should be embarrassed to call this BBQ, and whoever decided to send this meat out the door should be re-trained, or replaced. Smoked sausage was decent. Pulled chicken sandwich was greasy and had a bone in it. Hush puppies were on point. Overall, this location continues to disappoint. We'll eat elsewhere, because this location is a letdown.

Came with a group of friends. No one complained, but most only ate part of their dinner. The meat on my sandwich was quite fatty. Not my favorite BBQ in town.

Utter garbage! Curbside service is a joke. Didn't get order right and had to go back in to get corrected. Nashville Hot is an insult to the city. Chicken was over cooked and as dry and tough as jerky and slaw was minimal as if there is a world shortage. Just awful place and will absolutely never be back. There are so many other food joints that actually know how to prepare food the right way.

Yes Lord!!!!!! You will see Heaven’s Gates open when you eat this Barbecue! Tender meat, and the sides are great as well. I had the pulled pork sandwich, fried okra and mac and cheese?
