I really like visiting this coffee shop compared to my other favorite, Confections. The staff are always very courteous and the service is much better than the other over-priced and unfriendly “Artisan Bakery”.Oh, they also give a generous military discount. A BIG plus compared to the “other” place which snickered at us when we inquired.The prices for the sweets are discounted regularly.A must try place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere or use the free Wi-Fi.
I LOVE their butterscotch latte. I also tried castella bread for the first time here and it was delicious!

Tried their baked goods in my local Super G Mart in Charlotte. Bring BACK the peanut cream buns! Those were the best sellers and only thing I enjoyed greatly from this bakery. The butter cream buns are great too. Everything else wasn't to my liking, a bit dry.

Needed to update my review after 10 years. Hansel and Gretel is a great Korean bakery and cafe that is located next to So Gong Dong in the Assi plaza shopping center. Their cakes are delicious and their drinks are well made as well. The atmosphere is definitely geared towards Koreans as the place is always hopping with Korean groups elder and younger folks. Seems to be more of a popular spot for older Koreans to meet at though.Their customer service is friendly and the only setback I see here is their parking is a little crowded at times but overall that's not a huge negative.5 solid Stars for Hansel and Gretel and I'm glad to see them doing well after all these years of them being in business.Happy New Year 2024.

We absolutely love Hansel and Gretel. The Honeycomb Hot Late is the best ever and it keeps us coming back. The baked items are also very delicious, consistently good and fresh.The staff are very friendly and welcoming to everyone.This is our favorite coffee spot!

‼️Do not spend your hard earned money here if you are okay with a company prioritizing profit margins over customer service and longevity.‼️My friend is a long time customer and she simply enters the establishment and orders a strawberry tart quite regularly. Customers are awarded with a complimentary coffee and cream puff after spending a hundred dollars. Quite personally I don’t think that deal is of good value as a hundred dollars is quite a bit of money that the average customer does not spend all at once , but better than nothing I guess.My friend recently overcame some health issues that prevents coffee from being a part of her regular diet. She asked if, because of her medical issue, a coffee could be substituted for a tea, and instead of taking the curtsey and care to ask a manager, she tells my friend no. The main issue here is the lack of curtesy for customers with medical issues and the need to be right.My friend returns to the establishment in hopes to speak with the manager as she enjoys this place but felt uncomfortable with the way she was treated and that there was no effort for accommodation due to medical reasons. My friend asks for the manager and is denied to see them. The cashier says “I’ve already talked to her. I already know she would say no” which made the situation all the worse and she states it’s the policy. She also states“They may do that at other places but not here”. I found that very demeaning towards my friend and it’s very ironic how after someone spent over $100 dollars at an establishment they are being treated like this. A small business should value their customers continued support and I personally do not feel like a substitution like this would hurt the company’s books. If that is the policy then so be it, but it’s the lack of sympathy for my friend’s situation and refusal of the manager that is the real concern hereFor a small business to thrive long term , customer service is crucial and I see other one star reviews begin to pile up on their google reviews. I hope the takeaway is that Hansel and Gretels acknowledges the importance of customer accommodation and if not possible, the curtsey to ask and advocate for the customer. From the bottom of my heart Hansel and Gretel Suwanee, do better. Value the customers that choose your establishment over all the competition in the area. I’m sure she was not the only customer that feels like this or has been treated this way.
