Service was slow. Quantity of food was not

Honestly, I was disappointed with both the food and the service. We came during lunch on Monday and got the regular beef lunch special ( very affordable I think it was 13 dollars). First of all, the portion size is a bit odd. Maybe it's because I came for lunch but my plate came with one piece of tofu, a piece of broccoli, a quarter of a mushroom, etc. as seen in the picture. I know there's inflation right now but I wish they could add more.. My biggest complaint was the quality of the beef. It was probably the worst meat I have tasted because it tasted like wet paper. There's a premium beef option that's just a dollar more so maybe i should've just gotten that but nonetheless it was terrible. The service was also very slow. We went on a weekday but it took forever for the plates to come and seemed like the two waiters were veryyy busy. The sauce bar was also empty but the waiters didn't fill it back up. They also never gave us water so we had to ask for it. I think the restaurant would benefit from having better quality meat and hiring more workers.

I love this place! Food is fresh and delicious. Fast and friendly customer service. I would recommend getting the mild sauce if you had a mid-spice tolerance. Overall great experience both times going.

Shabuga is one of my favorite shabu shabu restaurants in the Duluth/Suwanee area (right after 9292 Shabu but that may change as their prices are HEAVY) and I haven't been here since pre-COVID, so I decided to check them out once again! This place is honestly pretty lowkey (they've been open for around 3-4 years and only 22 reviews on Yelp) but it's honestly really good and I prefer this place over Gom any day. We visited on a Thursday evening and I ordered the premium beef shabu with a side of kalgooksu at the end. The nice thing about shabu is that because none of it is essentially cooked, the food comes out fairly quickly. We got our food pretty quickly and I noticed their servings of meat has gotten bigger? which was very nice on our end. They give a fair share of veggies -- they used to do refillable veggies but I am not sure if they do that now. You can make your own sauce or you can ask them to make it for you. I always ask for the medium sauce, then I mix it with ketchup. It may sound weird but it actually tastes really good and has a sweet kick to it. I always also get a side of peanut sauce. Their peanut sauce is actually so good... It seems homemade and it's more of a peanut paste but it has a very nutty flavor. Highly recommend. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with shabu. People may complain that portions may be small, but if you order the side of carbs at the end, it's totally worth it. My meal was $18.99 plus the $2.99 (I believe) for the noodles which is reasonable for nowadays inflation prices. I haven't been here in a while until this visit but it reminded me that I need to frequent this place more often!

The food itself is good and affordable, but the service is extremely slow. It feels a bit like you have to beg them to come or you have to go out of your way to step out and ask them to come for things, even after pressing the call button.

Awesome shabu shabu place. The price is surprisingly super affordable even at dinner time. We have been to so many places like this but i am impressed. The whole fam enjoyed our dinner tonight and surely will be back soon. The place looks neat also.

Service is slow and a bit unfriendly, but the food is good - quality of vegetables and meat is fresh. Their sauce is good too. It would be better if you could make your own to your liking.

Ok I'm sorry I don't have a picture I was too excited and forgot about that. I love the ambiance, it's so private and cozy, definitely more COVID-19 friendly than most shabu shabu places. Our waitress also wore a mask the whole time which was appreciated and she was very prompt the few times we rang the table bell. So the main thing to know is that it's not like a typical shabu shabu place where you order everything a la cart. Instead you pick your protein of choice and they come with it in a beautifully colorful, flavorful, and well varied platter for EACH person. Yes! Everyone gets there own perfect platter. The sauce is also pre-made you just pick spicy level so this is great for those of you that suck at mixing sauces or aren't experimental. The sauce is exquisite btw you just determine your own spicy level. !Caution! to those of you that have nut allergies though! It does have peanut sauce. Not sure what the broth was, it was the same for everyone, but my very picky grandmother loved it so I think it must have been vegetable broth. I'll be sure to ask for next time because mock my words, I shall return. Lastly, there is the option to order more protein and noodles or rice a la cart for those interested so dear not. I personally got the hand cut noodles and they did not disappoint. You do control your own individual pot btw! So again this is all so very COVID friendly for those of you weary to venture out but craving a warm treat.

First visit. Right time of year, when the weather is cooler and soup sounds good and soothing. Fresh vegetables. Quality meat. Very good. I look forward to my next visit ?

We enjoy Shabuga! Great service and fresh ingredients for shabu/hotpot. They also make good sauce here. I mix a mild and regular spicy sauce level and it's the perfect combo for me. The protein options are good and have been good quality. They tend to get busy so be patient while waiting to get seated. I really appreciate the separates from one booth/battle to the next. Definitely give this place a try! This has become more of our recent go to spots of shabu/hotpot. Shabuga is located in the same place as Assi Supermarket and on the side where Kung Fu Tea and Hansel & Gretel are located.

I've only had Shabu Shabu in Hawaii and we were pretty loyal to a certain place that was just so flavorful it would have been cheating to find a new place. We hear good things about Shabuga and decided to try it out. We weren't disappointed! Everything was portioned perfectly and the additions and broth was delicious. Definitely on our rotation of food places to go to with visitors!

This used to be my favorite spot before covid, I would come back around at least two to three times a month. This was my first time back since covid, they seemed to separate their customers. Their premium beef was a lot thinner and smaller, made it a little annoying to eat. Seafood game was a bit weak.
