We have been ordering from Dinner A'Fare for over 11 years. The meals have been a life saver for our family. My husband and I both work and as the kids have gotten older, their schedules have gotten busier. These meals are much quicker to put on the table because all of the cleaning, cutting, and chopping is done. We add a side salad or a vegetable dish and dinner is ready in less than 20 minutes for most of the meals. Thank you!

Tried for 6 meals. Very disappointing. All you get is the entrée, no sides at all. Portions were on the stingy side. Food tasted ok, but not worth the price at all. While not a food item per se, the packing was not ecco friendly either. Everything in plastic bags. Lots of them. Not sure about the insulation material, but sure didn’t look biodegradable to me.

I LOVED DInner A'Fare. TO start with, I like their simplicity in packaging, I like many of their meals, especially the chicken meals. I don't know if I was in the honeymoon stage or what, but the quality of beef has been way below par and most white sauce casseroles were bland, so now there are two types of foods I don't get. I was given Million Dollar Spaghetti, which threw me off a bit, as it didn't sound like something I would get. The meat was chewy and greasy and gross, and the cream cheese mix was not a good addition to this particular meal, although would be nice elsewhere in a thin layer. Today I noticed the meal I had ordered was Million Dollar Tortellini, not spaghetti. I LOVE TORTELLINI, but none was found in my package. Subbing spaghetti with little sauce for tortellini is not a fair swap. Now, I hate posting only negatives, so I started with my positives, and will end with them. I love that this meal plan allows for me to choose a salad or a pasta or a fresh vegetable of my liking. I work in the food industry, and I realize one size does not fit all. I love that the meals come frozen, so if I buy "12 meals", I can have them available over the next three months if I so choose, allowing for convenient help on busy days, and not worrying about having room in my refrigerator or trying to use up the food before it goes bad, or having to deal with a load of fingerling potatoes and carrots all week because they were "seasonal vegetables." I get to choose all the variety I want, and for those who don't want it, sides are available. They did everything smart on the structure end of things. I'll admit, it's nice to learn that sometimes just 2 simple ingredients make a great dish,perhaps an expensive lesson, but one that will pay dividends for years to come. The other thing I love is saving money on eating out. I rarely eat out, and when I do, I'm shocked to see $30 - $80 for the two of us on the bill. So, even with my additions, I'm sure the cost never reaches $30, and with the ease of cooking, the convenience of not getting ready to go out, going out, waiting for food, waiting for the bill - it's something I will still use, but my previous elation has left the honeymoon stage and into reality.

Great food, well packaged, clear and easy cooking instructions. We’ve been ordering from Dinner A’fare since 2005 and the quality is consistently very good. Lately they do have some delivery problems, including leaving food in flimsy insulated bags on a hot sunny porch. Until those problems are addressed and resolved we will hold off ordering. As much as we will miss it, food safety is our greater concern.Editing to add... I have tried to contact Dinner A’Fare by text and email, offering to pay an additional fee for the well packed box with dry ice delivered by UPS instead of a flimsy grocery store cold goods bag in which the food thaws on my hot front porch. I’ve reached out three times with no response, which I guess is their answer. Therefore I am downgrading my review from three stars to two, for lack of customer communication.

This a great meal program. We have been ordering since October, and everything that we have tried has been delicious. I love that all of the ingredients that you need to prepare a gourmet meal are measured and sent to you! I also love the packaging. It makes clean up easy. The ingredients are fresh and very good quality. We have used another meal delivery program, but Dinner A’Fare is my favorite. I order 6 meals for two people, and we always have leftovers that l look forward to eating! Every time l cook a new entree, it becomes my favorite! I also like that l can find the meals to add to my food diary on Fitbit, and the suggestions for side items to pair the entrees with is another nice touch. Wine suggestions are included, too! I prepared French Beef with herbed dumplings tonight, and it was delicious. The menu selections are meals that l haven’t prepared at home, but l would order at a restaurant. With the social distancing protocols, it is wonderful not to have to shop for these tasty meals. They are delivered right to my door! Then all l have to do is follow the instructions, and voila! I have a very appetizing meals usually within thirty minutes.

This is my first experience with a dinner kit meal service. I decided to try it to get out of the dinner rut and because it was difficult to get groceries during the quarantine. I was worried there would not be enough in the 2-3 person size for me and my 26 year old son. Not only is there enough, but we had leftovers from most meals and they have all been fantastic. I definitely recommend Dinner a fare. Can't wait to to get my next batch of meals.

Absolutely made my thanksgiving a breeze!! I hate spending the entire day cooking and then being exhausted when it comes time for everybody to sit down, this year I chose to do things differently and have dinner Fair help me out.
