I wish I had found out about this place sooner!! I was on the lookout for a good authentic Japanese restaurant that served curry udon after trying it for the first time in NYC - Waraku was the first place I tried on my search and I definitely found the best place first! Huge menu, high quality authentic food. My wife knows her Japanese food and raves about every meal we have here, and has several favorite items. A note for those who have fussed about service in their reviews...this is a small family-run restaurant and the pandemic made things rough. It also takes some time to cook made-to-order food, so please be patient. We've found that it's been worth it, every time.

TLDR version: SKIP the sushi/sashimi. Order from the kitchen menu. My first time here with family and oh man the menu is HUGE. They have so many items that other Japanese restaurant typically don't have. We ordered a lot of tempura items. The batter was good and light. The shittake mushroom tempura was amazing, must try!
