Service was great! We sat right down and the chips and salsa were delicious! They also had an awesome salsa bar. Our food was was sooo good too and huge portions. I got the carne asada ( pictured below) and my husband got a burrito. This seems to be a gem in Taccoa. All other restaurants were closed in downtown on a Friday night, except Puerto Nuevo. It was packed, noisy and busy. The food was really good and seemed more authentic than most Mexican places in Gwinnett or Atlanta. The chili colorado was very food although the meat was not stewed in the sauce. However the meat was tender and sauce rich and flavorful. Service was friendly and quick. I will definitely be back.

Another great Mexican restaurant with awesome cheese dip, fabulous entrees and delicious margaritas. This is another go-to for the area! You certainly can’t go wrong with Puerto Nuevo Mexican and Seafood Restaurant!Parking: Not a problem at all!Kid-friendliness: High chairs are readily available
