My family and I were in Toccoa today and found this establishment. The menu offers a lot of choices. However, the food was just okay. The fries were by far the best thing we tried. Very nice location.

This restaurant feels really out-of-place to me, because it is attached to an antique mall, but it wants to be a sports bar...? The meal was OK, as the bland catfish was balanced by the excellent green beans (bacon in them?). After my waitress took my order & brought my tea, another waitress brought my food. No one spoke to me again, not to check on my meal, refill my drink, nothing. My original waitress did sit in the booth behind me to eat, and then she vanished. Maybe no one remembers the "two bites or two minutes rule" in waiting tables. I think the owner was roaming around, or they let some dude go behind the bar when he wants. He spent most of his time sitting with two customers. When I worked in restaurants, every owner always circulated to visit every customer in the place, even if it was just a table or two. If he had said something to me, maybe he would be more aware at the lack of service in his place. Maytbe, it wasn't the owner.None of this was enough to keep me from trying the place again, when I am next in town, as there was enough good-sounding stuff on the menu to give them another chance.

Dropped in for lunch and ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant after seeing one on the plate of another diner. Unfortunately, while looking good, it turned out to be nothing more than large chunks of unseasoned chicken, not chicken salad, on a very dry croissant. Very disappointing. They have a nice menu and others in my group had good past experiences, but not today. Very nice service. . . too bad she wasn't the chef.

Let me start by saying the food is DELICIOUS! Kudos to Chef. However, the service sucked. We walked in, sign said have a seat wherever you'd like. So we (my sisnlaw, 4yr old and a 2month old baby) took a booth. They seemed to be moderately busy. Four servers and the owner who was also working the floor. We sat, someone said we will be right with you. Two mins later a server asked if we were ready, we said not yet the toddler is thinking. Six mins goes by, the owner says, we will be right with you ladies. Then another 15mins before anyone took our order. Our server was just told by the owner to get off her cell phone, she walked over to us and said "go ahead". It took me aback because there was no pleasantries. As I ordered my toddler's burger, I asked for light mayo. She said "we give that to you" walked away, grabbed a small container and THREW it on the table. Then said "go ahead" and continued to say those words after each thing was ordered. Then grabbed the menus and left. We got our food about 15mins later. It was good. We had one server refill our glasses, Noone checked to see if the toddlers cup needed refilled. I finished first, the server that took our order came over with a different tone when asking if she could take my plate, it was more polite. Then my sisnlaw finished and her plate sat there. We waited another 10mins waiting for someone to ask if we needed anything, a to go box or our check, and no one came. So I got up and went to the servers station and got my own box. Then waited another second hoping someone would bring our check, nothing and no one came. So we went to the bar where the owner and two servers were standing around. The owner said "are you ready"? I said in a very stern tone, "I am". He asked if everything was alright, I said "no, it isn't, I'm ready to go". He asked what was wrong. And I proceeded to tell him how it went. He said "your lunch is on me", "have a great day" I said thank you and headed out the door. As I was walking away I heard him say "that's two tables now that have had an issue". So I turned around and walked back and started speaking to the server who took our order. I told her as someone who is in Management her customer service was very rude. I told her she took her anger of being in trouble about her phone out on the customer. She tried to justify it saying she was the only one working the floor, but I made sure to remind her there were 4 servers. She still tried to make excuses and the owner told her to stop talking and listen. Then she tried again to interrupt and he told her to cut it off. I said try better, and walked away.

This was our first time visiting Toccoa, and we stopped in for a late lunch. We waited over an hour to get our food, even watching five other groups, get seated, place their order and get their food.

Make note its a GRILL, not a bar & grill. No alcohol on premises. If you're wanting the bar & grill experience go elsewhere. Otherwise an okay encounter. Servers and staff were phenomenal, no doubt. Food? I've had better.

The X factor is somewhere I wanted to try for a while, so I chose to go here for lunch since they were open at 11 and close by. Upon entering, the atmosphere felt welcoming and very comfortable. We chose a table to sit down, and my only complaint was the table was a little sticky from previous customers; I could see the drink rings. The waitress came over immediately to welcome us and ask for our drinks. There were plenty of choices on the menu. The food ordered: Loaded cheese fries, Patty melt with sweet potato fries, and cornerstone burger with a Caesar salad. The loaded cheese fries came out first, and they were delicious. Shortly after the patty melt, the cornerstone burger and sides followed. There was little to the side salad; it was just on the smaller side, which was disappointing. Everything else was enjoyable to eat. One thing I noticed was the teamwork of the staff. If our waitress were busy or unavailable, another waitress would check to see if we needed anything. The prices were extremely reasonable. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and I would go again.

The only place in town where you can get a nice grilled salmon salad for lunch. If there's another one, I don't know about it. It's almost perfect. The service is decent, those ladies work their butts off.
